Tattoo turn off?

Would someone’s tattoos change your attraction to them?

Should what you perceive to be ‘bad’ or ‘tacky’ tattoo’s be a deal breaker?

Went on a first date, got on really well. Went on a second date, got on really well but noticed some tattoo’s which I find a bit tacky and well…shit.

Does this bother people? I know it’s each to their own but on the whole, how much would it bother you if you were dating someone with crap tattoos😂

I find all tatoos a complete turn-off so I wouldn't date anyone with tatoos, let alone crap ones.

No, something as small as a tattoo wouldn't put me off someone I liked. Unless he decided to get them all over his head or something.

I mean, it depends if we're talking, like, the name of an ex or some stupid motivational phrase, or a swastika or full back piece of a wolf wrestling a skeleton atop a motorbike.

If I otherwise really liked him the former wouldn't bother me too much, many people do stupid shit in their youth.

I’d be unlikely to date someone with tattoos, more so if they are visible all the time. I just don’t like them so would be less likely to find the person attractive. And some people I know with tattoos tend to talk about them a lot which I’d find off putting in a potential partner. I think they can look ok on some people but on most people I don’t think they look good.

I'm not a fan of tattoos and I'm married to someone who doesn't have any.

In the same way I don't like football so I wouldn't be interested in someone who was a diehard football fan. I'm also not a big drinker so it makes sense that my husband isn't a massive drinker either!

People have different tastes in things and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure there a lots of things I enjoy or like in a person others would cringe and die before going out with people with those characteristics 😅

I would never get a tattoo on my own bod but am largely indifferent to them on other people. Probably wouldn't be into someone with loads of visible tattoos on their hands, neck etc. Wouldn't care about a bicep/calf/back tattoo unless it was a swastika or similar. Having said that I can't imagine my attraction levels rising if I found they had an inoffensive Winnie the Pooh tat either. That would not be sexy.

I've just reminded my self of Ben Affleck's 'divorced dad back out on the scene' tattoo. I did think 'oh dear, Benny'.

Not a huge fan of excessive tattoos but each to their own. If I found the person attractive the tattoos wouldn't bother me, unless of course they were racist/homophobic/violence etc

My friend had a date with a guy who was very nice but she said boring. He had tattoos of tigers. She went to his place for coffee [and that is all it was]. He had tiger print things around the house. Tiger rugs. Pictures of tigers on the wall. Talked about tattoos a lot too.

I'm not a fan of tattoos, I could tolerate a small discret one but otherwise it's a similar deal breaker to smoking for me.
I really think that tattoos date so fast as the fashions change. I don't get the birth/memorial date or child's name, surely that's are moments and dates you wouldn't forget!

But if you went on a few dates with someone and started to like them you might not even know they had tattoos at that stage or even later …!

My friend and her husband just got matching Disney tattoos. He got Mickey and she got Minnie.

Depends on the shit tattoo. If it’s inconsequential enough and just a bit shit but could be hidden then maybe. If it’s actively awful and I’m going to have to look at it all the time then it would probably put me off.

I don't like tattoes at all. I would never be rude about someone's tattoos but they would be a turn-off. Just personal preference. And tacky tattooes, motivational phrases and people's names are a further layer of ick.

I think if I started dating someone and later discovered they'd got a tattoo in a not obvious place I wouldn't dump them for it. But it would be a bit of a turn off.

You tell them you're vegan at the first possible opportunity and they can talk about their tattoos all the time.😂

They are a deal breaker for me so its one of the 1st things i would ask

l don't like too many on a woman, a couple of tasty ones is quite nice though but not say the full sleeve trend so common these days. l have a couple and use to love tats but they turn me off these days bc they mean nothing anymore too common , anyone gets them.
Back in single days l did meet someone that otherwise was perfect for me but her tats were extreme, full back and such , which just turned me right off. With him , if it was to go somewhere or to love, you could always talk him ito having them redone if it's only a couple.

I have some tattoos, all of which I regret. So most I can't really look down on people for most of them.

One of my exes had a BDSM symbol, so I'd probably look down on people with things like that or other annoying things they're into that say something about them I'm not attracted to- ganja leaves or whatever.

Other than that, maybe a wolf baying at the moon.

I like tattoos and have several.

But tribal sleeves on men give me the ick. I hate hideous big thick tribal designs. Just my personal preference though.

The classic boring man sleeve including a lion/compass/roses makes me go bleurgh too because it's so cliché and overdone.

And of course any England flag, bulldog, football team, Britain first crap. 🤮

For example, I’d not be very impressed by ubiquitous, dated tattoos. The type of thing that was copied and copied and copied. Chinese symbols or ‘tribal ink’ or any of those bandwagon jumping crap tattoos.
