I'm not a prude, and I'm early 30s, so very much of the "dating app generation".

Surely men know this by now? It's been going on for years and I don't know any of my girl friends who have said "you know what, I love receiving a dick pic"

I read about someone replying "Bet you wish yours was that size. Now send a picture of yours" and then block them.

You can't send photos while chatting on (the ones I have used anyway ) dating apps. Hence why I always found that they are very keen to get your number and move over to whatsapp etc.

I don't give out my number easily and if I did after being on the app a while , this would be where I would say if they sent me a penis pic then they are going to get blocked, so are you sure you want to swap numbers. The reply to that every single time was 'oh I am not like that, I would never do that' etc etc. But prior to me adding in the post number swap disclaimer, there would be a dick pic about 80% of the time. I don't have hundreds of matches to base that on. But 8 out of 10 was about accurate.

I think some of them get a thrill from it. They've intruded on you, forced an intimacy on you that you wouldn't have agreed to had you had the choice, and it turns them on. Gross.

My theory is that it's me with low self esteem who have no other USP (and maybe even not that one if they're using a fake pic).

You can now. It must be a new feature. I blocked someone this morning and now you get the option to report the number, and when you do it sends the last 5 messages with the reporting.

It wasn't a dick pic but a scam in which I've won a million bucks, but I was quite pleased to see that option available.

A lot of guys just don't know women that well and I think there is still this kind of saucy-seaside-postcard idea that woman all want a big schlong and we all sit around talking with our girlfriends about how endowed the men we sleep with are, whereas women actually don't care half as much about cocks or the size of them than men think, or popular culture suggests.

Same reason women send unsolicited pictures of themselves I guess. I've had all sorts, often involving toys etc (sorry if tmi)

I think it all stems from porn. They get a kick out of seeing pictures/videos of women’s bits, so for some reason think all women are going to get a kick out of seeing their dick, when let’s face it, they’re ugly looking appendages at the best of times.
