Finding a romantic text to his bit on the side while he was passed out pissed on the couch was it. No dramatic explosion, just a numbness. Thank God I got away, the man was nothing but an arsehole.

@Frazzled2207 I think that's just what people say. 'We grew apart' is easier to say than 'he was a violent bastard'.
I know that's my story for people but the real reason is that he told me, in his drunken stupor, that life would be so much better if I just killed myself. He said that in front of our child.
Three words? Drunken abusive wanker. I hate him with the fire of a thousand suns. And I have wished him dead, many, many times.

He didn't support me in anything and was as remote as Mars for months and months. Blamed his existential midlife crisis on the fact that he was married to me then left.

Had felt it for awhile but the final straw was he left me and the car stuck in snow and went for a takeaway..
