Don’t want exes new gf to meet my kids

Ex husband and I were together for 15 years, divorced for 3 now. He’s been dating a much younger woman for probably 8-9 months. We’re mid 40s, not exactly sure how old she is as he won’t say but I’m guessing around mid 20s. He hasn’t brought it up yet but I’m sure he will soon. I don’t want her to meet my kids. He’s mentioned that it’s not a fling but I just don’t think it will work and I don’t want them getting attached to her and then being upset when it ends. Am I being unfair? Thinking too far ahead?

I don't think the OP sounds jealous. She sounds worried, and regretful she married an arse, and perhaps anxious about the children seeing him in a new relationship if his dynamic is abusive?

There's a lot of advice on here about leaving abusive relationships because they are not good for the children. It seemed to me that some of OP's worry came from the fact that the kids might now be exposed to the same bad stuff but without even her there to shield them.

That's how it came across to me, anyway.

There is no mileage in resurrecting this one. The OP has reached a conclusion and the consensus is that it the correct one.

Op, I understand how you feel. My ex and an affair and the OW was quite a lot younger than us,noo kids, care-free life, etc. My first reaction was "she is never going to have anything to do with our children" but then I realised that that was out of my control and I had to trust ex's judgement as a father.

I think in my case it was mostly because she was the OW though.

Anyay, they split up (predictably) and they then met his next gf even quicker.
