Do you state on dating profile on either Tinder or POF that you are actively looking for a long term relationship or does that sound desperate?

I don't personally know anyone who has had a good word to say about online dating.

I met my DH on Tinder so I have a few thoughts on this

People who state up front they're looking for a long term relationship are in my opinion as offputting as people who state they just want to hook up. The nature of relationships is they grow organically, most people get that without it spelling out either way.

So I personally would swerve any definites.

Similarly my DH lived 60 miles away, so about an hour. If you think it's a waste of time going to meet randomers (and I don't fully disagreee) meet halfway? If the guy doesn't want to match your effort, he's immediately not the one.

@TheFoundations can I just match with you and be done with it?
