Hi. I'm in North Bristol. I just wondered whether anyone lived in this part of the world. There seem to be a lot of mumsnetters in the London area
so I just thought I would find out.

kkgirl, not really the South West, but I'm in Newport - so not too far away.

kkgirl, i live in south gloucestershire, but its right on the border of north Bristol(Patchway), its nice to know there are local mumsnetters.

I'm in Devizes, Wiltshire, so we're not all in London - whereabouts are you?

kkgirl · 10/10/2002 18:32

Its nice to know that there are some local people.I come from Bath originally so I know all the places you mention.

My first ever message on mumsnet. I too live in north Bristol. I have been reading various threads about friends, friendships ending and the lurking shadow of lonliness that seems to fall over most of us from time to time. I have found that the advice given to other people is excellent - really helped me sort through some of my own issues.I hope to join in/start some threads myself as I gradually get into the mumsnet system.

I'm in Exeter but stay with a friend in Salisbury regularly. Welcome Newbies!

Frenchgirl · 21/05/2003 12:47

Hi, I'm in Bristol too! Quite a few of us then... as a new mumsnetter, I'd love it if we could meet. Cribbs is a good idea.

Beetroot,if you are organising an evening do Im ruled out for a little while - DH is working in Scotland alot at the mo, comes and goes at short notice etc. I could definately do a daytime meet though (plus 2y.o DS2). Im one of those shy sorts that people have written about here, who can sometimes come across as sniffy.Id hope that with DS2 in tow this would not be how Id appear. Would any one else like day time coffee or lunch or play session?

How about the John Lewis restaurant at Cribbs? it's usually quiet in the weekdays afternoon, and there's a few books and a little play table for the kids.

mjhen · 21/05/2003 20:56

Either place ok for me. Never been to the starbucks so dont know what its like for little ones. The toys etc that frenchgirl mentioned in J.L probably means it`d get my vote. How would a Friday suit? Perhaps after half term eg 6th or 13th June.

LizC · 21/05/2003 21:59

CAM - I live on the new housing at the very edge of Devizes off the Nursteed road. Are you a wiltshire lass too then, or just when you're visiting your parents?

I'd be quite interested in a meet-up and could get to Cribbs Causeway. I usually don't work Thursdays or Fridays, but I am working Friday 6th and got something else on Friday 13th (could do 20th). Maybe next time.

Wiltshirelass - where are you and edgarcat living in Wiltshire then? Is m2t also in Wilts?

Frenchgirl · 21/05/2003 22:33

Any weekday's good for me although dd at nursery every day until 3.15pm..., so would prefer to meet around 4pm. What do you guys think?
