I definitely wouldn't leap to Discord being used for an affair UNLESS you have other reasons to be suspicious (which, if you're going through his phone, maybe you do?). It's primarily used by people of all ages and sexes to chat about videogames or other hobbies and interests, I have quite a few friends who use it/have used it and definitely weren't searching for affairs with it.

It’s no more “known” as an app for affairs than WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Facebook Messenger or any other chat and messaging facility is. Your ex just chose Discord above all the other options he could have chosen to message somebody he was having an affair with.

As others have said, a lot of online gamers use Discord, and its core feature is the ability to create online communities and groups in it.

DH uses it for a YT he follows on twitch who has a discord channel for his supporters and also for his NFL groups

Lol. Why make something like that up to worry her? What’s wrong with you?

@Bluntness100 I haven't made up anything. This was my experience of my ex with the app. A lot of my friends have had similar experiences. If you have had a different experience then that doesn't take away mine.

I do find it funny though when a lot of OPs discover their DP having an affair out of the blue, when the red flags were in front of them all along.

My friend’s ex husband was phoning his other woman at every chance he got. I suggest you make sure any future partners you have throw away their phones in case they’re similarly tempted, and recommend you get rid of yours as well to reassure future partners that you aren’t cheating on them by calling other men.

I'd say Kik or telegram were for affairs over discord! Discord is full of gamers or otherwise needy people so we can join groups related to our hobbies or games. Also use it to chat with my partner when we're gaming together and he's at his house.

If you're looking through his phone for evidence of cheating then you have bigger issues.

By needy, I mean nerdy, though I'm sure my mum would say they're interchangeable

Discord. I have a big knitting club on it so not everything is suspect on it!

The people I know who use Discord do not use it for extra marital affairs.
