Clearly someone who trusted their DP wouldn't be going on their phone and putting a picture of an app they didn't know on MN. Where there's smoke there is fire.

Also if the BF was going on Discord for an innocent reason why haven't they told the OP that they were using it.

Everyone needs to read between the lines and stop being naive about things.

Be very careful. That's a known app used for extra marital affairs. I caught my ex DP using it around a year ago, the amount of messages he was sending to OW down for affairs was outstanding.

It's like a talkier version of Tumblr where you can create your own 'rooms' with multiple off shoots.

It’s an easier way to communicate with people for gaming, my partner uses it for this and for group chats for his media course he is on. Unless you have reason for snooping I wouldn’t worry as such

Used it when I did a masters degree last year, also know some people use it for work. It's not only about hobbies, etc.

It really is as innocent an app as it gets. Like others have said it's no more suspect than having WhatsApp or even just having a phone lol.

You’re only saying that because you’ve been cheated on via Discord let’s be honest. That doesn’t mean it’s a dodgy app. No more than texting, messenger, insta, Snapchat etc

I don’t tell my DH every time I download an app. Doesn’t mean I’m hiding anything

Utter nonsense. People don't generally give a list of what apps they are using to their partner.

Everyone needs to read between the lines and stop being naive about things.

Some people need to calm down and stop making something out of nothing. I'm pretty sure DS1 said he uses Discord to chat about FIFA or COD or something. He isn't having an affair.

Discord. I have a big knitting club on it so not everything is suspect on it! My DH has gaming chats on it.
A hobby well known for attracting brazen hussies with loose morals.

It's Mumsnet for gamers/ crafters/ uni students and every other kind of group you can think of.

If being on Discord is enough of a reason to LTB*, then so is being on MN.

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve read in a while.

discord is literally nothing to worry about, it’s like a modern day version of chat rooms, but for specific groups or interests you have to be be sent an invite to a server or join a group to chat.

I use it, my DP uses it and my 14 year old uses it.
Predominately for gaming chatting with the people with play games with.

It's not dissimilar to mumsnet - but where you can create/join a particular group of people with shared interests and there's text or voice chat channels (depending on how you set it up).

I use it to chat with people I play Minecraft with on a YouTuber's patreon server. It's only accessible to people who are also patreon supporters. We've also used it for Among Us games. I think it would be an unusual choice for an affair.

I have NEVER discussed Discord with my DP, and I run a server where 70 people are currently discussing a gaming update.
My DP wouldn't care, because he doesn't play the game.

Most people talk about drivel in specialised groups on Discord. Trust me.

Really? We have the family chat on there (mainly pet photos) as the dc don't like WhatsApp or facebook
