A new thread, so we can continue discussing the depressing reality of the above!

I'm also heightist lol and just dont think i could date domeone shorter than me 🙈 at 5’5. @Isitreally7777 i really envy you wearing heels i think they look amazing and and jealous of women who can walk in them well. Did used to somehow wear them out clubbing when I was younger lol but havent worn them for years! Im all about the trainers these days!
Nothing more from JD and im going through the predictable psychosis... why hasnt he text.. wonder if he likes someone else or was pining for someone on V day.. am i just annoying.. how much does he like me.. urgh! I dont know if its worse having noone of interest in your life or having someone do you like and having all the freak out that goes with it!!

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 07:38

@Isitreally7777 at least he actually text you first on the day 👍

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 07:40

@OutingMyself how its going with your younger iron.. have you named him yet?? Grin are you going to meet up? Updates please Grin

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 07:41

And hope youre feeling better now!

Isitreally7777 · 15/02/2021 07:50

@Shayelle2009 I practice wearing them when I'm in the office🤣. I live in trainers at the moment think I've worn heels once since last March.

I go though the same psychosis when I don't hear from Computer Geek at weekends, then I remind myself he has his kids at weekends and I'll get something eventually. Maybe JD was busy, I took 4 hours to respond to Computer Geek on Saturday as I was busy doing bits and pieces and time just slipped away.

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 08:09

@Isitreally7777 hope you dont lose the knack, bet your feet are so glad of the years break Grin

Its good to wait a while before replying! Bet computer geek kept checking his phone haha. I know JD works weekends he has a job that is unsociable hours ... also when he’s tired he goes quite quiet.. hope its just those rather than anything im freaking out about.
Need to be cool!! I hate turning into a dick like this!! Confused

Zoomme · 15/02/2021 09:14

I'm also heightist, and at 5' 7" find a lot aren't much taller. Ideally I'd like someone 5' 10" or above. I've set my settings to only show above 5' 7", suspect I'd find a lot more if I wasn't bothered about height. Thankfully I never wear heels!

One I was talking to last night, his typing was all over the place, part abbreviated, part misspelled, I don't know if he's dyslexic or has poor eyesight or can't spell or just doesn't care?!

OutingMyself · 15/02/2021 09:17

@Shayelle2009 Yesterday I was feeling so crap I said I'd get back to him today, but haven't yet. He seems really keen and I don't know if it's put me off a bit. He also said he's not very social and doesn't really do much outside of work etc.. I don't want a social butterfly or someone to travel the world with, but I'm not sure I want the opposite either! I think I might just be making excuses because I'm a wimp though.

I also found a ten or so year old picture of him online which is quite hot in a sort of chavvy way Grin

I find it really hard to stay cool in that kind of situation. I hope you hear soon.

Isitreally7777 · 15/02/2021 09:18

@Shayelle2009 I think we all worry about these things, it's only natural and doesn't make us dicks. JD will message I am sure of it.

I would love to think Computer Geek is constantly checking to see if I've sent that good morning message or replied to him. I sometimes think I send pointless messages but he says he loves every single one.

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 09:27

Aww thanks ladies! I was wondering to myself if men get the same little buzz from getting a message from someone they like in the same way we do!!

Isitreally7777 · 15/02/2021 09:54

I think they do, they just hide it better than us. It's not very manly to get excited over a message from a woman they like.

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 10:29

Haha I hope they do!!! Grin

OutingMyself · 15/02/2021 10:59

I really don't know what to do/whether to meet him or not 🤯 He lives close to me and the chances of me seeing him in the supermarket are really high.

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 11:22

Why dont you chat to him a bit more on message @OutingMyself then decide?

Isitreally7777 · 15/02/2021 11:34

@OutingMyself I never match with people local to me for that very reason. At least the only time I'm likely to bump into Computer Geek is when I go to his town to go bra shopping in Bravissimo!

I agree chat with him some more, see how you feel after a bit more chatting.

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 14:49

I would also be wary of matching with someone too close by... or even in my same town

OutingMyself · 15/02/2021 16:29

Yeah, I'm going to leave it. Aside from the nearness I think If I was really up for it I would have gone for it. Something is definitely holding me back.

Thanks everyone :)

OutingMyself · 15/02/2021 16:30

I've also matched with someone who is 6'5.. Grin

Shayelle2009 · 15/02/2021 16:42

Always good to trust the gut instinct Smile

OutingMyself · 15/02/2021 22:30

The tall guy said at the end of a message 'so do you have a particular type you're looking for?' What kind of answer is he looking for?! We've already matched and have been talking.. does he have friends lined up if he doesn't fit the bill? Or is he planning to change?! Grin

pineappleonpizzaornot · 16/02/2021 15:27

Hi Ladies, looks like I have missed quite a bit, you all seem loved up and half way to a relationship!!
Im not chatting to anyone! The guy who wanted me to fight a woman, I told him he was a weirdo....normally I would just un-match, but I was in a bad mood, and told him he sounded like a complete nut-job Grin.

Farmer boy disappeared completely after telling me it was so nice to match with me and hes hoping to find his soulmate Confused...then poof! gone!
Chatting with someone last night who started off with just an emoji, so I replied with an emoji, then we had a giggle, and chatted, then a couple of messages this morning, nice long ones......his last message said "haha".....hence I haven't replied!
Send some of the luck you ladies are having my way please Grin

pineappleonpizzaornot · 16/02/2021 15:37

@OutingMyself - I hate them questions! I never know how to reply, and think it will be wrong whatever I say. One messaged me at the weekend...the good ol' "what are you looking for?" - Something in-between a shag and a husband I feel like saying!

Changeispossible · 16/02/2021 15:39

Could I join this thread please?

I’ve just joined Twitter & so far, I’m really really disappointed by it. I’m 40 and the men my age that I’ve seen on it so far wouldn’t work for me. There was the guy who took a photo of himself at a urinal, the married man who messaged asking if I was married too (yuck) and the numerous profiles of bare torsos (vanity is such a turn-off).

I’m now messaging a man who keeps calling me beautiful even though I don’t have my photo up yet. I’m starting to doubt my heterosexuality!

So far it’s just highlighting my regret at messing up my love life & being separated at 40!

Is there hope?

pineappleonpizzaornot · 16/02/2021 15:46
