Previous thread

How’s that for a title?!

Well, I’ve done a deal on the car. Actually it drives very nicely. I can see it’s practical. And it’s not an old banger.

It’s not very me. But it is sensible, and sensible I must be.

Actually got some kip last night. 9-5.

How’s everyone else doing? Justilou is it warm in Oz? One of my best friends lives there and I haven’t seen her for too long. RandomMess have you managed to have a better night / find out when you’re going home?

I haven’t told him about handing it over to the solicitor and no mediation on Friday yet. Waiting for the notes and financial summery from the mediator first. Hopefully today.

It is beyond joyful to read about strangers, that feel strangely tangible, escaping to live their best lives.

Wishing you and your girls every possible success.

So happy for you! Lovely to have fabulous friends.

I can recommend a mattress topper. Like sleeping on air! Mine is relatively cheap from Amazon.

Enjoy your bubbles and waking up in your own house in the morning. I remember the first time waking up without him in the house. Bliss!

Been woken by rain absolutely pouring down. It’s blowing a hooley out there too. So comforting lying in my nice warm bed listening to it.

Erm. This is a bit embarrassing. But it’s MN, so if I can’t ask here, I can’t ask anywhere.

Best cream or treatment for piles? Been bunged up for days (stress) and am now paying the price. Need to eat more fruit. But more importantly need something to stop the pain.

I’ve some germaloid bombs somewhere and some lidocaine. Obviously in a box...anything good I can get over the counter?

Just got up and made a cuppa and had a wander round. House feels so nice!

Ah you poor thing. Someone on a thread about piles recommended xyloproct. I ordered some online from the independent pharmacy. It works really brilliantly.
I’m piles free for the first time since kids! It shrunk them right down.

I’d highly recommend it also. You might need to ask at your pharmacy for it. Or get it online.

I really enjoy being snug in bed when the wind is blowing and rain is coming down.
Just been woken by three year old seriously informing me there was a cat in her bed. I thought it was just her trying to get up and start her day, but upon investigation there was indeed a sneaky cat snugly curled up in her bed.

Congratulations on your successful house move xx

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 16/01/2021 06:25

I can’t recommend any pile cream...

But I do remember getting into my new home and bolting the front door. And letting out the biggest sigh of relief. I was like a pressure cooker for the first couple of weeks... slowly letting the steam out.

Welcome to your new home, Pollyanna.

StuckInPollyannaMode · 16/01/2021 06:45

Right, I’ll pop to the pharmacy for some and if they won’t hand it over I’ll go online! Thanks so much.

Yes it does feel like I am slowly letting steam out. Good way to describe it. I haven’t managed to go back to sleep but I’ve done a couple of meditations and snuggled with the cat (who got into bed with me for the first time in ages, which was lovely) and I’ve just had a bath and a couple of sneaky rich tea biscuits. Bacon sarnies all round for breakfast I think. Once I’ve found that lidocaine...

Early night tonight I expect!

Also try glycerin suppositories. That will quickly soften and help clear without the pain! Keep drinking LOTS of water. That is usually the problem/cure for me

Good morning you fabulous woman. Bloody well done! I will never forget my first day of freedom. It was like the weight of the world had been lifted. Your life belongs to YOU now. Your rules, your terms. It's wonderful.

Shouldbedoing · 16/01/2021 08:45

Congratulations on your new life OP. Delighted for you.
I've checked on the NHS website that this advice is legit, and this has provided temporary relief for me in the past, but if you can apply a bit of sudacrem or vasoline and try to persuade/ease it back in, that helps.

Yay! A snuggly Saturday to you!!!

Halfagonyhalfhope · 16/01/2021 10:47

Polly coffee is a good laxative.

Halfagonyhalfhope · 16/01/2021 10:48

I'm so sorry that you've managed to lose one pain in the bum only to gain another.

Catmaiden · 16/01/2021 10:59

Taking extra Vit C is a laxative. Enjoy your new home!

Mangoes are a good laxative and they go wonderfully well with Sauternes.

mbosnz · 16/01/2021 11:55

I always find a coffee and a sausage roll works wonders as a laxative for some reason. . .Grin

The deleted message was just a spammer, a link to a gambling site hidden in some fluffy words about loving yourself.

timeisnotaline · 16/01/2021 13:26

I wouldn’t think mangoes would do it as we have just gone through 3 boxes of 20, and if they were a laxative I think we’d be feeling it by now!!! I now know there is such a thing as too many mangoes. I don’t want any more
Mango salsa, mango salad, mango semifreddo, ice lollies, milkshakes, jelly, fresh mango...

Starbonnet123 · 16/01/2021 14:28

Coconut cream and milk also help in the bum department, me and a friend had so many coconut based cocktails one holiday we couldn't get off the loo . It was only when we returned home we found out that coconut was a laxative Smile

Am considering all ideas whilst drinking a gin. Trying to ignore my throbbing posterior.

Love it @Halfagonyhalfhope!

Well, today I’ve dealt with a shed load more boxes, had calm and chilled kids who have played with Lego for over 2 hours - unheard of - moved a delivery of logs, washed my lovely new bedding, dealt with a loo emergency, picked up my new kitchen bin and scraped the front of the new car badly on a wall cos I’m so bloody tired. Have ignored various messages from Gellar. I’ve told him the girls are ok and happy. That’s all.

Going to let the kids watch the Masked Singer and then we’ll all go to bed.
