I didn't realise I'd have to start a new thread - it's amazing the amount of people that have offered advice / made me laugh, it's appreciated

It was the strangest thing! Yes Yeo Valley yoghurts and milk Confused

I've not been able to change the locks but I've double locked the door this afternoon, as he doesn't have a key for the bottom lock

I do however, have his bike at mine (which won't fit in my car, only his)

I have a van i could definitely fit a bike in @droopyears ... depending on what county you're in!

Well done on everything so far - just caught up on old and new threads. You've done amazingly and good on staying so strong!

madcatladyforever · 20/10/2020 18:18

4 years is not as long as 20 years OP, but yet I thank God everyday he's gone.

BluebellsGreenbells · 20/10/2020 18:34

I bet your enjoying all the extra food, I’m glad you’ve seen the light

Blanca87 · 20/10/2020 18:58

Sorry if I missed the post but @droopyears did you actually tell him he's dumped? I know you dropped his stuff off etc but did you explicitly say to him, its over?

newnameforthis123 · 20/10/2020 18:59

Ooh it's big shop day tomorrow OP Grin

Get yourself and the boys some lovely treats to enjoy while Mr Tokens is making his own dinner asking his mum what time dinner will be ready because his mates want to invite him to a party on the PS4 elsewhere at his mums house.

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 20/10/2020 19:21

Yes, it's the best day of the week tomorrow isn't it Op? 😂😂

billy1966 · 20/10/2020 19:58

Are you ok? Is a covert, hedging question to see have you calmed down and reverted to the placid accepting woman.

He's hoping the OP will indeed calm down and he can slip back into using her free hotel.

He feels he's done NOTHING wrong and think she has completely over reacted.

He will definitely be hoping she just meekly lets it go.

He's a mean, nasty user.

I bet the OP and her children haven't missed him.

@droopyears wafts huge swathe of Yeo Tokens as bait

Hello!! We're all agog here!

Let us know the latest update....

on getting your new Cat - pics please.

newnameforthis123 · 21/10/2020 17:01

Ooh happy big shop day OP! Hope you and the boys have some lovely treats Smile

AcrossthePond55 · 21/10/2020 17:30

What's for dinner?😉😜

Mittens030869 · 21/10/2020 17:32

I'm sorry to hear about your cat, I know how losing a beloved pet can hurt. (I'm a massive cat lover with three furry friends currently.) I'm also looking forward to seeing a photo of your new cat. Thanks

droopyears · 21/10/2020 18:07

We've found a rescue cat, he's 9 and like a huge black panther Grin They're currently doing a post code check etc so will update with a photo when we're allowed to bring him home with us

Yes I did message to say that I felt things were no longer working between us and we needed to call it a day (not quite in those words!)

I did get a message this morning asking how the DC were, which I've ignored

My youngest is starting to miss him now, but with half term coming up I've taken some time off work so I can hopefully take his mind off things

I messaged the sister earlier about the bike, am hoping her partner can collect it as he has a bigger car than I do. Fingers crossed

billy1966 · 21/10/2020 18:17

Well done OP.

He's getting desperate....asking about the children he is so mean to🙄.

He can't believe you have not crawled back to him, begging him to return to the free hotel.

Well done OP.👏

Itisbetter · 21/10/2020 18:25

Tough time but you sound like you’ve got a good plan. Brew

RandomMess · 21/10/2020 18:40

Love how his message would include that he would arrange to collect his bike and apologise for not sorting it sooner!

Good news about the cat, I am a little disappointed I can't ship one of my annoying critters off to you instead 😂

BlueThistles · 21/10/2020 18:58

congratulations on your new Panther 🥰

He's happy to take food from their mouths .., contributes zero ... sneers at your child getting an 'older' game.. until he's booted out.., now suddenly it's.. how are the kids 🤔

oh he's trying to get his lazy fat arse back under your very well provided table OP 😱

beware 🌺

Sunnydaysstillhere · 21/10/2020 19:40

Ime a dcat is a good distraction from a twat!!
Your dc will be more than fine.

willowmelangell · 21/10/2020 20:54

Kicked his lazy arse out, got a cat.....OMG best update ever!
Pics...lots of pics.
Your dc will not even notice ex absence. Because you have a dcat!
Well, soonish.
Happy days!
And awesome on you picking a mature dcat!

cakecakecheese · 21/10/2020 21:46

I'm so pleased for you, onwards and upwards.

I had an ex that'd rifle through my cupboards, expect snacks, make 'jokes' about me eating my own food but I'd go to his place and there would be literally nothing to eat, he 'didn't realise' eggs could go bad Hmm and I'd have to go to the shop. I now have a partner who is actually a partner and it's much less irritating! I'm sure better things are ahead for you.

justilou1 · 22/10/2020 06:41

Don’t be surprised if you get guilt trips about how much he misses your kids, and attempts to contact them as well now he knows how serious you are... knob.

HappyHoppyHippo · 22/10/2020 07:22

Asking about the DC Hmm knob!
Congrats on your new cat, have you picked his name? I would call him Bagheera :)

MrsCatE · 22/10/2020 07:46

Congratulations on new Panther! You're welcome to nick my Black Panther Beast's name - because apt in this circumstance - BastardCat - feel free to drop third syllable.

We need pics of beast! Rule is I'll show you mine but you have to post your Puss pic first; as has been enshrined in MN Litter Tray mythology for yonks.

You know you want to let us know the latest..

robs family and neighbours of Yeo Tokens, and wafts rancid, unrinsed batch seductively in general direction of @droopyears**

Weenurse · 22/10/2020 08:44

Can’t wait to see the cat

BrowncoatWaffles · 22/10/2020 10:37

I messaged the sister earlier about the bike, am hoping her partner can collect it as he has a bigger car than I do. Fingers crossed

He's such a bloody manchild. He comes across as utterly incapable of sorting out his own life.

Ditching him and getting a gorgeous new cat sounds like a good result all round for you and the DC!

excelledyourself · 22/10/2020 10:50

OP, you mentioned your DC missing the ex, but I notice no mention of his DC in the break up? Did you and your DC not spend much time with them in the 4 years?
