AM SO DISCUSTED & ANGRY!

I know that I may be over reacting, but I am fuming right now!
My 2 young sons were both sitting watching cbeebies & suddenly I heard my eldest ds yell because ds2 had turned on the play button & ruined the programme (nothing new there!)
Any way, I was alarmed 2 then hear sexual noises coming from the tv & see that they were sat viewing a close up of a woman performing oral sex on a well endowed black penis!
I am not a prude, & if I am married 2 a bloke who obviously gets a kick out of this (which I didn't think he was into until 5 minutes ago!) then so be it, but 2 leave it in the video recorder, when he knows that our 1.5 yr old loves pressing buttons, has made me really, really cross!
Our children are aged 1 & 5 & I feel sick that they have just seen this.
My dh has gone out 4 the night 2 his friends house (as he often does) so I can't even have a rant at him!
Do u think that I'm over reacting, or would u be angry 2?

Yes, I would be spitting.

womba1 · 15/10/2004 18:04

Watching stuff like that is one thing. But to leave it easily accesible to your little ones is appalling!
Save the rant for when he gets home!!

pixiefish · 15/10/2004 18:05

I'd go ape...

moderatorlou33 · 15/10/2004 18:05

I would go mad at him,and call him up to harangue him down the phone tbh. He should have put it away.

blueteddy · 15/10/2004 18:07

I am so cross, that I have just placed the seedy video in its case on the side board with a note saying "Explain why our 2 children have just been exposed to this filth"
As I will be in bed b4 he gets in tonight.
I'm so shocked that I am shaking!

collision · 15/10/2004 18:08

I would be seething and devastated and if it ever happened to me we would have the mother of all rows! However, it is probably best ignored with regard to your ds's and not mentioned again. If you make too much of a big deal about it it could make matters worse. I would phone DH and tell him what happened and spoil his evening!!

hester · 15/10/2004 18:09

Poor you, blueteddy; that must have been quite a shock. and for you. I hope your dh accepts responsibility for this and realises that he can't afford to be careless about this sort of stuff. Best of luck.

pixiefish · 15/10/2004 18:10

Is there any way you can send hima text message venting your spleen. Don't leave the video intact- put it in the bin and leave the case on the side

doobydoo · 15/10/2004 18:12

I think you should phone him too.
Poor you i would feel really shaky and angry too.
xx

codswallop · 15/10/2004 18:13

I would with hold shore leave for that

blueteddy · 15/10/2004 18:13

I have no credit left on my phone at the moment.
I would throw the video away but it looks like a hired video.

OP posts:
moomina · 15/10/2004 18:14

OMG. I would be absolutely appalled and furious. Like collision says, it would spark the mother of all rows in my house (and that's saying something). Totally irresponsible of him to leave it there. What the hell was he thinking???

nutcracker · 15/10/2004 18:15

I would be boiling mad too.

blueteddy · 15/10/2004 18:16

I can assure u that we will have 1 huge row over this!
It is frustrating that he is not around at the moment to scream at.
Just feel like crying right now!

OP posts:
doobydoo · 15/10/2004 18:17

Throw it away and he can deal with the consequences of that as well.

whymummy · 15/10/2004 18:18

oh blueteddy exactly the same happened to me not so long ago and i came on mumsnet for advice as i was just like you,so upset, shaking, angry at dh and so sad for the children,i thought their innocence had been ruined, they also saw oral sex wich i couldn't possibly explain to them, love making yes but oral sex?my children are 4 and 6 and although they have the memory of an elephant they never, ever mentioned the incident,i was terrified dd will tell the nursery staff,ds the teacher and social services would come knocking on the door but thankfully they never said a thing maybe because i went ballistic at dh when it happened and they knew not to mention it again.
i know exactly how you feel but i'm sure your children will be ok too

pixiefish · 15/10/2004 18:19

agree doobydoo

codswallop · 15/10/2004 18:22

yes bin it

willow2 · 15/10/2004 18:24

Bin it. So what if it costs him, the eejit.

blueteddy · 15/10/2004 18:26

Have just binned it!

pixiefish · 15/10/2004 18:27

Good on ya Blueteddy... do you feel a bit better... remember to leave the empty case for the @@@@@

blueteddy · 15/10/2004 18:29

I have left the case on the side with the note on the top of it.
Have added 2 note "By the way the filth has been disposed"

hester · 15/10/2004 18:30
Grin
blueteddy · 15/10/2004 18:40

I must say, at the moment my children seem quite happy watching story makers!
It was just the vision of them both sitting there inches away from the telly watching a very close up view of an erect penis in someones mouth.

blueteddy, just to echo all the other,
i'd be LIVID
