One I saw a couple of times a while back- he seemed a nice guy so IDK why he came out with this.

Me:- I don't like X (sexual act) it just makes me feel ticklish.

Him:- I'm going to make you laugh and laugh.

!!!
Luckily he didn't go on to try the thing. Brr!

I am going to punch the next man that says something inappropriate to me, that will show him.

I have many things said but reading this thread has given me the rage Angry

Nowhere near as bad as the experiences of so many:

Aged around 13, doing cross country running at school. Always in the winter. We had to wear a short skirt ("PE skirt") and lightweight blouse. Our route took us through a park, and there was a flasher who would regularly be there, and expose himself to passing schoolgirl runners once the teacher had passed. We told her and her response was, "Well, don't look."

First job, in a library, aged 16 and very naiive. Much older man who worked as a caretaker -probably about 50 or so. He'd be wandering around and come to the counter when I was on duty and keep talking to me. One time he asked to see my hand (I used to wear a lot of rings so thought he wanted to look at them), and then just stood there holding my hand. One time he told me his wife didn't understand me. I told a colleague that I wasn't keen on working evenings (part of the contract) as this guy made me feel uncomfortable. The response, "Oh, that's just what he's like."

Fortunately I am not very attractive and I have a resting bitch face and this sort of thing has died down.
No way would I tolerate it now. I worry for my DC.

‘’If I tickle your pussy will you suck my cock‘’ said out of a parked car as I walked to school in my uniform when I was 12.

He went to get out of the car after I started walking but my neighbour with his big Alsatian dog came round the corner right at that moment thank god.

I didn’t tell anyone, I don’t know why I didn’t tell anyone!

LouHotel · 07/06/2020 10:24

@Inappropriatefemale I was once stood about 3 metres behind a middle age women and her 14 year old daughter when a man walked past and must Have said something nasty to the teenager.

This women went apocalyptic; screaming him down that he was a perverted peadophile etc etc.. I didn’t have kids yet but I remember that and vow to do the same if someone says something to my 3 girls. My mum was of ‘just ignore it’ variety, nah you have to shed light on these comments, they say it quietly because they know it’s wrong.

Aprilbaby2020 · 07/06/2020 10:25

When 7 months pregnant a married mail colleague eyed me up and said ‘there’s just something about a pregnant woman..’

Aprilbaby2020 · 07/06/2020 10:29

Oh... also my own grandfather always telling me ‘if I were 40 years younger you wouldn’t be single’

SarahTancredi · 07/06/2020 10:31

I just remembered , when I was 18 I went clubbing with a college friend. We were waiting for our lift home ( her parents) I went walking down the street to see if I could see the car. A man started trying to get me to get in his car. I ignored him.and carried on walking whic made him angry . He literally drove up the road periodically stopping to gang right out the car and tell at me to "get in the fucking car" .

Huge thanks to the takeaway owner/worker next door to the club who looked after us til our lift arrived.

Pipandmum · 07/06/2020 10:34

'Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you', said by a man who had followed me out of a nightclub.

Inappropriatefemale · 07/06/2020 10:42

@LouHotel oh that makes me feel better that the woman went nuts at that creep, what did he do?

I remember one morning I was on my way to work and I had an argument with my boyfriend and some workie said very loudly about me “check the tits on that” to his workmate, his workmate didn’t look amused at all and I was very emotional and shouted “don’t you fucking know that it’s not called sexual harassment to talk to women like that, I’ve a good fucking mind to call your boss”, and the guy spluttered and stammered “il-il-illegal what” and his workmates didn’t know where to look and the guy had a red face, I felt so much better after it and I liked that his mates weren’t amused either!Wink

"I'm looking for a girlfriend"

An old man on a bus scribbling a letter to me while I sat in front of him in my school uniform.

This letter included his phone number. How I wish I went to the police

Inappropriatefemale · 07/06/2020 10:43

Not not called sexual harassment, it’s called sexual harassment, bloody phone

Scabiosa · 07/06/2020 10:43

I was 18 and walking past a pub, some much older man shouted 'I'd love to make you a single mother'

Inappropriatefemale · 07/06/2020 10:47

I’m getting the rage reading this thread, like shaking with rage!

I have to stop reading.

whatthefuckamigoingtodo · 07/06/2020 10:51

I have loads ...

15 working in a barbers on a Saturday, old man tipped me £1 by sliding it with his hand into my jeans back pocket and gave my bum a squeeze as he done it.

LouHotel · 07/06/2020 12:09

@Inappropriatefemale called her a psycho but quickly started jogging in the opposite direction, you could tell he wasn’t expecting a reply.

Ooh I’m getting giddy remembering it because he looked absolutely mortified.

Inappropriatefemale · 07/06/2020 12:21

Better to be a protective psycho mother than a paedophile!!

I think we should all make a pact here and decide that the next time a man says anything creepy to us, or our kids, quietly within the vicinity of others then we should repeat very loudly what they said and embarrass the fuckers, it’s the only way and it will make them think twice, deal? I now want a man to say something so that I can do this!!Grin

swampytiggaa · 07/06/2020 12:29

I’m reading this feeling sick. I have 4 daughters. I would be a raging psycho if I heard comments like this about any of them.

thenightsky · 07/06/2020 12:33

I remember my mum always told me that was the best way of dealing with these creeps, back when I was a young teen in the early 70s. It worked for her in the 1950s.

Callo · 07/06/2020 12:34

When i was about 12 i answered the home phone and the guy asked who it was. I said my name and the man said "You're going to get raped tonight."

Songsofexperience · 07/06/2020 12:36

I have a 13 year old DD. My parents were great and really looked after me but still bad stuff happened to me... I don't want to be paranoid but I worry about how to protect her from creeps and abusers.

Inappropriatefemale · 07/06/2020 13:10

My DD is 18 this month and she is so unworldly compared to how I was at 18 and this makes me fear for her, she is already going on about going abroad with her pals next year and that gives me the fear like nothing else and I can’t even stop her doing it!

MarigoldHotel · 07/06/2020 13:19

@SunshineSmellsLikeSummer I am so sorry that happened to you, I cannot imagine how terrifying that must have been Sad Flowers

GreekOddess · 07/06/2020 13:32

When I was about 22 I was driving slowly in a residential area as the road was narrow and there were parked cars in the road. A white van is coming towards me driving very slow, the driver is about my age. He winds down his windscreen and gestures for me to speak to him, I'm assuming that he wants directions so I stop to speak to him. He then says "suck my cock you fucking slag I hate you I want you dead". I was so shaken that I found it really difficult to drive home as my legs turned to jelly and I kept stalling the car.

Inappropriatefemale · 07/06/2020 13:43

Sounds like Levi Belfields MO @GreekOddess!!

mummydoingamasters · 07/06/2020 14:31

Wearing this t shirt (hopefully it loads) while out walking with my 2 children during lockdown. I had to walk between two elderly gentlemen who were stood either side of the path.

Creepy old man 'you look like you have a lot of patience'
Me (not realising what I was wearing or it's positioning' sorry, are you talking to me?
COM laughing 'yes'
Me 'oh right, haha' walked off and looked down and I realised what he was talking about. And looking at.

Creepy things that males have said to you in any context.
