Just that & I am very angry and upset!

Back story, been dating the guy for the last 2 months, going out around twice a week but message every day etc. All was going well (or so I thought)
Tonight we were going to stay in, get a takeaway & watch a film but that was supposed to be at 7 and it's now 845!

He messaged me this morning, chatted a bit as usual & he said that he was meeting his friend for lunch & drinks but would be ready to see me at 7...

I have not heard from him since 4pm, i asked if he was coming here or me to his, no response.
I've messaged 3 times 😢

Sorry to hear this - maybe he lost his phone ? Had too much to drink ?
Give him another chance and if he does it again then you know what to do

Mum4Fergus · 07/03/2020 20:46

Lost phone...accident...drunk. Stop messaging until you have an idea of what may have happened.

needmoresleep1 · 07/03/2020 20:51

He's prob drunk from watching the rugby!

sar302 · 07/03/2020 20:52

Three texts is enough. You have to wait for him now.

I hope he comes back to you with a good reason!

battleroyal · 07/03/2020 20:57

Yes, Probably more than likely drunk / still down the pub.

I won't send any more texts.
One was from this afternoon regarding location, the other two asking if he is ready / if he is okay..

I was thinking rugby + lost phone too.

Wait and see, OP.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 07/03/2020 21:01

If he's drunk that'd be the end of it for me.
He hasn't even had the courtesy to text.

mommybear1 · 07/03/2020 21:10

If you can OP put your phone away and leave it for tonight likely he has had too much to drink but even so he shouldn't be disrespectful not to txt you or call to say he's shit faced and can't make it.

doadeer · 07/03/2020 21:10

I would think that's so rude. And not attractive to get so drunk you lose your phone. I'm sure if he lost battery he could find a charger at the pub or message you on Facebook /instagram on someone's phone just to say he was delayed. I think it's shitty behaviour

TwistinMyMelon · 07/03/2020 21:11

Fuck him. Next!

OpticVA · 07/03/2020 21:14

Hope there’s a reasonable explanation OP, def wait for him to get in touch with you now though.

StudentHelp · 07/03/2020 21:16

Did you call him?

WhiteBadger · 07/03/2020 21:16

2 months? Yeah fuck that!! NEXT!!

Pissed watching the rugby! Nope nope nope.

battleroyal · 07/03/2020 21:16

Oh here we go...

Just messaged, got in at half 4 and been asleep got 5 hours and just woke up.

Hmm.....

OP posts:
Arcadia · 07/03/2020 21:26

Sounds a bit flakey. How old is he?

rowlett · 07/03/2020 21:29

Jeez OP in a way I think your update makes it sound even worse than if he was still out and too drunk to text (which would also be extremely rude when you had arranged to spend the evening together though). Did he get so drunk at lunch time he fell asleep for 5 hours? Confused I'd be very disappointed/hurt/angry at this too, he doesn't sound at all reliable.

Arcadia · 07/03/2020 21:30

If he's 18-25, probably fairly typical. 25-35 - hmmmm, 35+ - loser.

Stuckandsadintheupsidedown · 07/03/2020 21:33

Bin. He won't get any better!!

Splitsunrise · 07/03/2020 21:34

How old? Rugby?

Skierrdery · 07/03/2020 21:35

He got wasted and had to sleep.

An auger of things to come. I'd dump.

Skierrdery · 07/03/2020 21:36

I'd totally ghost him now. Waster.

unmumsymumof2 · 07/03/2020 21:36

He didn't fall asleep. He's been in the pub the whole time, decided that was the better option then staying in with a film but he can't say that and you can't be angry if he fell asleep? Right?

EmmiJay · 07/03/2020 21:37

Bleh! Say, "Glad you're alright. Goodnight!" Then turn off your phone.

Skierrdery · 07/03/2020 21:38

You can decide what's acceptable.
