My husband of 6 months has texted me today saying he wants a divorce.
No arguments in the lead and this morning we were actually talking about booking a holiday with the DDs (3&5)
I can't believe this is happening and I'm now at work so I can't confront him until I get home tonight

Do they not have "penguins" at the skating rink? The non skaters push them around so they don't fall over?

Alternatively do something else without him!!! Don't tell him you aren't going skating.

I would not be expecting him to be accompanying me anywhere once you have decided to divorce. Do not carry on as normal, he will think you are not serious about divorce...unless you are not at the end of the day.

Is he having custody then given he is sahd he will be on his ass when he leaves and will need to sign on lol. His loss your gain spec as hes refusing to work and get independence.
