One of my ex's exs sent me this song, she said it helped her when she split up with an abusive partner. I love it

Any of the rest of you got some songs that have helped you when things have ended with an unsuitable man?

Black Horse and the cherry tree by K.T. Tunstall

I like the way she sings it. Especially the refrain, 'you're not the one for me'

TheArtfulScreamer1 · 11/02/2020 14:06

So what by Pink was my divorce anthem I still love that song even though I'm now very happily married to someone else.

My aunt swore by Fight Song by Rachel Platten when her husband left. After I had my heart broken I enjoyed Somebody that I Used to Know by Goyte (is that how you spell that?), You Just Haven’t Earned it Yet Baby by The Smiths (“you must suffer and cry for a longer timmmmme”) and She Loves Me Not by Papa Roach (largely for the “LIFE’S NOT FAIIIIIIR!” Screamy refrain at the end).
