How common is it for English men to bad mouth English women and put foreign women on a pedestal and how do you feel about that ?

I've noticed many English men doing that on the Internet. I was wondering if it truly reflects what many English men think or it's just online jokes.

I am well travelled and I don't believe English women come across as worse looking than Irish, continental European, American, Middle Eastern, Arab, Black, Hispanic or Asian (South and East) women.

So do English women notice these comments and how do they react ?

I think you may be onto something OP. I work with two really lovely young men and they both date East European ladies, which they say is their type.

I'm not english but Irish men do this too.

In their dreams. Foreign women are all hot and easy going and up for it.

Ie, they are turned off by women with their lives all sewn up and turned on by people-pleasing women with a low bar, especially if they can capitalise on the women's lack of friends, family and security in a foreign country so much the better.

I've seen this more online but occasionally in real life too. Usually middle aged and older, overweight, no appealing features and massive chip on the shoulder. Not offended 😂

It's not specific to England but there are plenty of nations where men rarely bash their fellow women in front of foreigners and enjoy praising them.

Loewe I'm English, but not white - so I very much recognise what you're describing. I've had men try to chat me up and be disappointed to realise I'm English.

Quickest one was a guy on the Tube who said "hi, are you from Brazil, I can show you round London". I wish I was joking. His face fell like a souffle when I answered him.

Worse looking, like women are ugly but sone are uglier than others? Get new friends.

They're not whining about a lack of attractive women; they're whining about a lack of attractive women who are prepared to sleep with them.

The great appeal of foreign women is that they aren't present/aware of the bloke's existence, so can't reject them.

Obviously Canadian women are more attractive than English/British ones no prize for guessing where DW was born and women from Alberta beat all other Canadians.

A lot of men with inferiority complexes have a savior complex though and obviously they can't rescue somebody who doesn't need rescuing. They want to swoop in an be a hero for somebody who NEEDS THEM. Which doesn't sound too toxic, but of course, then they want gratitude sex

No. I mean I don't think English women are on average less good looking than non-English ones.

@tableclothing, that's the appeal isn't it, that's what their fantasy is built on. The hope that the foreign woman doesn't have a friendship network. She has fewer options he hopes he suspects.

Polish women seem to be pretty popular and they are not a rarity in England.

I definitely believe that some men (generally, but not exclusively arseholes) have more success with women who do not speak English as a first language. Their inherent tosser-nature is diluted in translation and it is less obvious that they are a dick.

I know two men like the OP describes.
One of them goes to Thailand every year and "hires" a girlfriend.
He says I don't know what I'm talking about when I object .
He claims he has " sex like.a Millionaire " with these women.
The other only dates black women.
The worrying thing I they are both attractive solvent articulate single men

The only time I've come across English men being derisory of English women is when the aforementioned English man has been turned down by the English woman. She was attractive enough that he wanted to sleep with her / date her originally but the moment she said no to him, she turned into the ugliest woman in the world. It has nothing to do with the looks of English women and everything to do with the ego of English men. I have seen men with other nationalities (i.e. non English) behave exactly the same way with women from their own countries. It's male wounded pride lashing out at the women who dared to say no to them.
