What's the most rude/insulting/insensitive thing a competitive friend or aquaintance has said to you?

I know it isn't good form to start a second thread on same topic...but after my "competitive friend" thread I thought this one might be interesting...

I covered a few of my friend's comments in the other thread but the worst was probably the one about "thank god im not stuck in a tiny flat"... knowing full well I was still living in one!

a lighthearted thread :)

Work 'friend' at her wedding line up being introduced to her parents. 'This is Dogs, she's my work Mum'. I'm five years older than her !

75Renard I'm so sorry you had so many cunts in your life. I hope you've found some support now Thanks

A friend (not so much) telling me “I never really got what (my husbands name) saw in you but I kind of get it now... I mean what the hell?! She’s aright bitch

My so called best friend (frenemy) of 40 odd years said to my 5 year old DS "you're mummy and daddy will never be as RICH as me!"

There are a few real corkers, but another one that particularly sticks in my mind to my DS who was 4 at the time "now I know why I never had kids!" (Her DH is 18 years older than her and had had a family/vasectomy before they met). My DS was genuinely not being naughty but was so excited to see her that he didn't want to go to bed (she arrived about half an hour before bedtime and adored her!). There was really zero hassle from him 😯

"I am the happiest person I know" was another recent one from her - I didn't know one had to be competitive over happiness - what a sad cow.

But there we are - I think she's turning into a bit of a bitter old bag sadly. Just hope that I don't.
