Do irish men generally prefer tall blondes?

I know each person supposedly has different tastes in what they like or don't like but it seems a lot of irish men (esp in the celeb industry) seem to go for tall, blonde women. These woman can often have very plain or masculine looking faces but still look relatively nice due to being blonde.. is there any specific reason behind this? I know everyone might have preferences but to that extent where it's such a strong preference? Just curious :) thanks

With prince harry (not irish) but seemed like nearly every woman he dated was tall and blonde, yet he went for very dark haired meghan in the end and committed to her more than the 10 or so blondes he was with before.

Well I'm medium height fat brunette and I've been married to an Irishman for 25 years.

But it's a good point isn't it? I can't think of any Irish men with ethnic women... ok I know I'm going away from the tall, blonde theory like op says but I'm going one further. I don't anecdotally know any Irish men who has. Does anyone else?!

I actually mentioned Liam Neeson right on top of thread!! Incidentally, his deceased wife was blonde, slim and average height so that's 2/3

Acalavero Ireland is still very white, that's why most Irish men end up with white women. If some Tahitian beauty batted her eyelids at yer average Irish man they'd be beside themselves with joy and over like a shot (once they'd had three pints to build up their courage)

Acalavero- No it isn’t a good point. There are several million Irish men in the world. Many of them will be with ‘ethnic’ women. Most will be with fair skinned women with blue eyes because most of the women in Ireland are like that. This thread is insane.

I was telling my partner (both Northern Irish) about the handsomest man in my then workplace, and that he looked like a young Gabriel Byrne - in fact how Gabriel Byrne would like to look and he responded "the bastard!" with such uncharacteristic venom and envy, it cracked me up.

One off the top of my head, but he's worked in the middle East for years and met her (Filipina) there. I'm sure there are others - depends if they work/live overseas.
