Do irish men generally prefer tall blondes?

I know each person supposedly has different tastes in what they like or don't like but it seems a lot of irish men (esp in the celeb industry) seem to go for tall, blonde women. These woman can often have very plain or masculine looking faces but still look relatively nice due to being blonde.. is there any specific reason behind this? I know everyone might have preferences but to that extent where it's such a strong preference? Just curious :) thanks

With prince harry (not irish) but seemed like nearly every woman he dated was tall and blonde, yet he went for very dark haired meghan in the end and committed to her more than the 10 or so blondes he was with before.

No, in my experience they tend to be attracted to anything with a pulse.

Irish brunette married to an Irish man. I do know some men who happen to be Irish that are attracted to blond women but that doesn't mean that they don't date or marry women with different attributes. Most married women in Ireland are not blonde so i really don't think it's an issue.

(FWIW, my Irish husband seems happy enough with tall-ish, brown-haired me. And his fantasy woman is Mila Kunis, so, you know. Case closed.)

Meh. I'd warrant that more than one of those blondes were the ones who didn't want to do the committing. Harry strikes me as a bit of a limpet.

Wonders where I fit in. I always preferred tall, dark slim built men. Looks round at DH, short, blonde and rather on the round side.

All men are supposed to go for tall slim long-legged long-haired blondes aren't they? Especially celebs. I remember George Michael was usually photographed with a leggy blonde when he left nightclubs back in the 80s.

It's not an Irish thing. It's a western culture thing and a default beauty standard thing, and I find men who only like one 'type', whether blonde, brunette, black or ginger, turn me off with their lack of imagination.

I'm Irish (in Ireland) and blonde but not tall, I'm whacking on a pair of stilettos for the school run in the morning to test this theory, ladies lock up your husbands!! don't bother its not true and I'm not getting out of my tracksuit for the school run

Well my dad is Irish and my mum is 4ft10 with jet black hair dark sallow skin and dark brown eyes.

His brother doesn't go for women at all, blonde or otherwise.

My Irish nana was short and dark too

I'm a spitting image of my mum 30 years ago and have had no problem pulling when I've lived in Ireland either.
