I need some advice on how to handle this, I've gone out to my car tonight and there's been a note left on my car telling me my DP has been having a relationship with someone for over a year and lying to us both and he doesn't deserve to get away with it and I should know.

DP doesn't know about the note yet he's out watching the football I should be at work but I've changed my shift last minute now I'm sitting at home massively head fucked not knowing what to do next

Please anyone advice

I agree with Robin bit I would be trying to find out who and why someone would write this note? Has he upset anyone? Has someone got a crush on him and he has turned them down? Has someone got something against you?

From what you have said he doesn’t have time to cheat? And there are no obvious signs that he is up to anything. I think I would be feeling a bit paranoid as it does seem odd for someone to leave a note but it could just be someone stiring shit.

OneThingMissing · 30/06/2018 20:05

Everyone has time to cheat, if they really want to, and some people in seemingly happy and healthy relationships will also cheat. I don’t think you can take too much from his behaviour in general, though I do think his behaviour when confronted was suspicious. How would an innocent person targeted maliciously have reacted?

CharlieBoo · 30/06/2018 20:17

Huge red flags here. As hard as it was you should’ve waited before confronting him. The chances of finding anything now are slim...

yikesanotherbooboo · 30/06/2018 20:51

Sorry OP but I think he is cheating and I think you are doing right in investigating. A very similar molar thing happened to my DSil. She confronted her partner who denied everything . She believed him but years later she realised the truth and felt more let down and humiliated than she would otherwise have done.if it turns out that there is nothing to it you won't have lost out by being sure

He could be telling the truth, a few years ago a man knocked at my door and asked for my DH by name when I said he wasn't in he proceeded to give me all the details of the affair my dh was having with his wife. I was standing there visibly shocked he then told me that my dh wasn't at work as I thought as he had been suspended. When he mentioned his workplace it became apparent it wasn't my dh at all. He had a name and had gone to the council offices to look up the electoral roll and made an assumption, which was wrong.
It can happen

I know someone this happened to anonymous note left on windscreen, it turned out to be her sons girlfriend who was mad when he dumped her so decided to punish his Mother.

BoobleMcB · 01/07/2018 20:36

My god why are so many people so bloody desperate for him to be fucking someone else?? Or having an affair of some kind!

He showed her his phone, he didn't have chance to delete anything. There is absolutely ZERO evidence of any wrongdoing yet he's already been tried and sentenced. Get a grip for crying out loud

Frosty66612 · 01/07/2018 20:49

This happened to my sister when she first met her DP. She received an anonymous letter saying her DP was cheating. After a lot of digging it turned out to be from his ex who admitted she had sent the letter in a moment of madness as she was so jealous of their relationship

Limpopobongo · 01/07/2018 21:34

I know someone who went through a period of receiving what some might call poison pen letters. An unknown person wrote several times to the husband outlining his wifes infidelities. He never did find out who the writer was but it proved true that she was having an affair and they divorced.

JessieMcJessie · 02/07/2018 01:08

minsmum awkward! How on earth did you leave it with him, did he apologise?

OneBigHeadFuck · 03/07/2018 17:31

So after a bit of digging quite sure there's no second phone but an old old Facebook account that was deactivated is now activated no posts or obvious activity for a few years but it was deleted a while ago so not sure why that's back
