Thanks MrsJ.

Sorry you had a bad night. Hope the day goes smoothly for you.

Very cool air and bit of wind this morning but very warm overnight!

84CharingCrossRoad · 07/06/2018 07:44

Feeling anxious again today.... I hate it. My sister and brother in law are visiting today to see my Mum. Mum's cooking lunch so I'll come home to sausage roly poly and trifle for pud.... Will be thinking of that while I'm doing my hour at lunchtime with the children!!!

Willow2017 · 07/06/2018 08:12

84 (hugs) hope it eases later. Enjoy your family time.

Willow2017 · 07/06/2018 11:35

Whooooo😀😀😀
Its up to 56 yeah double last weeks i have 2 weeks reprieve then need to get them checked again.

Of course wouldnt have b3emme if no stress on the way. They only closed part of the road so had to go in a 20 mile loop to get back onto road again! Car in front and myself channelling Jim Clark as thankfully a pretty good road in parts and made it in time.😀😀 now just have to do it all in reverse to get home.

Hope you all having a good day too.

bookbook · 07/06/2018 12:45

Afternoon!
MrsJ - hang on in there - sounds stressful (hugs)
good news Willow, now to just get your taste buds back working :)
84 - is it something you have a lot - is it worth seeing if you can get some counselling/help from GP ?
Having a sit down after lunch. Been busy this morning , biked ( yes again!) to the allotment, did some stuff there , home for lunch . Going to do a big kitchen clean this afternoon - fridge emptied and cleaned out as part of it .
We've just had a bowl of strawberries which I had picked this morning - they were eaten within the hour this lunchtime - gosh, they were good :)
Hang on in there everyone - the sun is coming out!

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/06/2018 13:15

Glad you made it despite a detour Willow and a great score! Pleased for you.

(((hugs))) 84 I did some CBT which was helpful.

Great workout book You deserve a bowl of strawberries after that.

Still dark and grey here. At least I've made some progress. Fridge stocked, washing done, small child entertained - just a nappy change to do.

DS has started a new after school activity - first time he's ever wanted to do a school club, so I said yes, but it does complicate the day a bit. Next week will be fine because DH's work will be calmer then and he can step in.

Just off to do some Googling of birthday cakes for DS now... father's day first though.

Willow2017 · 07/06/2018 13:32

Afternoon.
You definately deserved the strawbs Book. They dont last long in this house either 😀

Suns out here now it's too nice to be going to work. Put washing out so that will spoil it😉
Had ham sarnie and didnt feel quite as bad so fingers crossed.

MrsJ nothing is ever easy is it? Hope new activity doesnt stress you out too much.

Maybe should get motivated to get ready for work. Pah!

Chasingsquirrels · 07/06/2018 17:03

Yay willow, so pleased - despite the rally driving on the way there! Anything from housing?

cake nearly through the day now. Doesn't get any better with the activities!

84 I'd agree with seeing your GP, hope you've had an enjoyable time with family.

Strawberries sound good book, my parents are picking too.

Productive day at work and finished for the week Grin.
Picked up a new swimming costume on the way home as going to try and do the £1 3-3.45pm session on a Friday afternoon and my old cossies are too big and I don't like swimming in a bikini at the leisure centre - okay for the beach!
Just took ds1 to get new passport pictures - but they close at 4.30pm, will try to fit it in tomorrow.
Oh, and my partner and I came 3rd at bridge last week - despite a cockup with the cards which meant we were a score down!!! Yay me.

Am doing a sleepover at work this weekend. Lots of cooking and caring!!

Horsemad · 07/06/2018 19:00

Great new on those results Willow 🙂 I hope things continue to improve.

That swim session sounds good Chasing 🏊

What after school activity is your DS doing MrsJ? Mine used to do football - every football session going! He did about 3 or 4 a week!

That sounds a busy weekend 84, but very worthwhile too 🙂

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/06/2018 19:38

Gardening club 😄 Not taking after his parents then. Think they all love the teacher and there's a few from his class so all good. Also does gymnastics privately and loves that and asking for swimming lessons but won't put his face under water

I've just ordered an eye watering amount of party stuff - plates, cupcake cases, napkins, and treasure for taking home. Bloody expensive! Luckily we've said every other year for parties!

DD and I went for a costa, so nice to spend a bit of special time together.

Hope you enjoy the swimming squirrel I used to go at 6am many moons ago

Willow2017 · 07/06/2018 20:36

Evening.
Just having a cuppa before i head for ds2 at cadets.
No word on housing at all Squirrels am gong to phone tomorrow and see whats what. Well done at bridge.

I keep thinking of swimming on my days off bit never get round tp it. Maybe in hols will go with kids.

Nice to have time alone with dd MrsJ 6am!!!😲 no thanks. Thank goodness parties are all past for us. Nightmare. We did have some good ones but the stress!

Chasingsquirrels · 08/06/2018 06:58

6am swimming definitely does not appeal!
Normal sessions are £4 and I'd only swim for 45-60 mins anyway so the £1 session just suits me. There is only two a week though and the Wed one doesn't work for me. Just hoping it won't be full of school kids as it's next to the secondary in town.

Not working today as it's Friday Smile, am very busy and thought about going in but decided I will get everything done. Might end up doing next week though.
Need to do a few bits of admin, some housework and will take Charlie for a long walk. Plus might see if a friend is around.

Hope everyone is well and has a good day.

MrsJonesAndMe · 08/06/2018 08:06

Morning! I couldn't do 6am now either Grin

Better night's sleep here. Juan starts work on Monday and sends her love to you all.

Happy Friday! I'm not working either!

Chasingsquirrels · 08/06/2018 08:28

Oh dear!
Charlie appears to have got into the understands cupboard where his food sack is kept and indulged!
We fill up a smaller pot from the big sack and I generally keep the cupboard door shut, plus the vacuum is in there which he hates.
Ds2 got up before me and fed him. I came down and his food bowl was half full and no Charlie (never happens - he licks it clean). Tried to tempt him and he wasn't interested then saw his water bowl was empty so filled it up and he drank 2 bowls full.
He feel like an overinflated beach ball.

Best of luck to Juan in her new job x

OP posts:
Willow2017 · 08/06/2018 08:49

Good luck Juan .

Poor Charlie😀 bet he regrets his over indulgence.

Sitting at school waiting to see teacher at 9.
Housework later. Cooler this morning but washing on so fingers crossed.

Willow2017 · 08/06/2018 12:19

Oh dear my poor heart dropped like a stone just now! Been doing pottering jobs today and checked my saving box for the hols where I have been putting money aside every week from pay and putting 'tips' in... counted up a good amount then realised its nearly all paper money! Cue mad panic call to bank to see if they would still acept it Grin And realised I have been getting paid in some paper notes and tips in paper notes yet they complain if one slips through into the till! Thankfully I can just go to the bank to change them, phew...not good for you at all.

Spoke to guidance teacher who was very reassuring. She will ask the careers teacher to have a chat with him and see what his options are, if he has any ideas where he wants to 'go'. Also there is an IT course at college 2 days a week (of course its the days I work so would have to work out him getting home again from school) if he was interested. I need to speak to his dad about motivating him as it would be far better than blooming horticulture. Need to figure out an incentive to move his lazy backside. Grin She is not phased at all by his lack of academic prowess and is fine with him doing other vocational subjects that interest him and see how his exam results pan out then meet up again next term to plan what he needs to do next for what he wants to do. Perhaps an apprenticeship in engineering? The Scot Gov are making a lot of apprent's available now to encourage kids into a long term future so fingers crossed. Its not 'sorted' it will take a lot of hard talking and thinking and will rope his dad into it too Wink but I am more calm now.

Hope you are all having a lovely day today.

bookbook · 08/06/2018 12:47

Afternoon all!
Chasing - turning into a nice hobby , the bridge, by sounds of it. Oh poor Charlie - but I bet he won't learn ..hope he is not too uncomfortable with it all.
84 hope the anxiety has settled back
MrsJ - gardening club eh? maybe the start of a life long love - be prepared for bean shoots in damp kitchen towel on the window sill! Glad to hear you had a better night.
Willow - that does sound reassuring, enough for you to realise that you are doing all you can for your DS's.
Cool and grey here, but washing seems to be drying. Had one of those bitty mornings, doing lots of little things , don't know quite where the morning has gone. Going off to do some proper housework, then to the allotment for an hour this afternoon.

MrsJonesAndMe · 08/06/2018 13:53

Hello

Willow I'm glad the bank can still swap it! You must be looking forward to a break by now.... glad the meeting went well and you're feeling calmer. You can do no more than you are.

book bitty day here too. A coffee with a friend, an hour childcare, some chores and wrapping presents that have arrived through Amazon from my family.

Catch up with you all later!

MrsJonesAndMe · 08/06/2018 13:54

Poor Charlie Grin Grin Grin

Willow2017 · 08/06/2018 16:16

All sorted! i am a numpty the £20 notes i had in it are still paper of course so they were ok. What a twit. Have a number to call to stop the 'Which' sub coming out my account. I keep asking them to cancel it but they dont and as its off my debit card i cant either how stupid is that? Last local branch of bank closes monday. Nearest one will be 7 miles away in town! Proper pia.

New pjs bought for kids, some shopping and a coffee and black cherry muffin with ds2 sorted me out😀 Have cleaned out shoe rack and got summer shoes on it.

Back to my 'list'😁

Looks like a 'bitty' day for us all today.

bookbook · 08/06/2018 16:25

sitting down now with some crochet :)
Willow - good news on the notes !
MrsJ - I really don't like having to wrap presents, of any sort - I'm not good at it.
Well, I cleaned , then went to the allotment. I realised I needed some carrots, so DH and I popped to the supermarket on the way home. I really need to go in at about 3 every Friday - picked up the carrots, stopped to have a quick look at the reduced shelf - a whole chicken down to £2 , and some packets of boned chicken thighs at £1.50 for 4 . So - we are having roast chicken tonight, with lots of extra cooked chicken to make teas for next week :)
DH cut the grass, and brought in 4 sticks of rhubarb ( it tends to flop onto the grass ) - so we are having rhubarb crumble and custard as well . ( I had spare crumble mix from earlier in the week, and the oven is on !)

Chasingsquirrels · 08/06/2018 16:27

Productive day here, did some housework, some admin I've been putting off, just back from my swim - really quiet so managed to get some proper swimming done and now have wobbly legs! Did 48 lengths though so pleased with that and will try and make it a regular thing.

Glad things seem to be moving with ds1 willow, you just have to keep plugging away. And ekk on the heart stopping moment with the notes.

I don't think Charlie is likely to have learned anything - other than there is a big bag of his food in the cupboard! He slept it off, and deposited in the garden, and by 10.30am was much more himself so we went for a walk and he dashed about - had been waddling at home earlier. So hopefully no after effects.
