Ironing all done, another round of sorting dried washing and still damp washing. Washer finished but blowing a gale outside so not putting it out!
Trying to watch bbc iPlayer but keeps sticking and internet is struggling on pc too for some reason. Might give them a call and ask what i am paying for😉

Cake sounds like a plan i am doing that too. Kids are getting more adventurous in what they will eat but still a pain at times. Because they dont eat cooked veg i often forget to do any for me. Thats going to change. Although i have to confess i like the basic stuff nothing too spicey or 'hot'. Cannot understsnd why people eat something so hot its burning thier mouths and making them sweat? Shouldn't food be pleasurable not a trial? Just an old fogy although we love chinese and a korma😀

Probably do a clear out too although hopefully there wont be much as i was ruthless this time last year.

Relented and let ds1 stay up late to play on pc game with his friend in usa. God knows when he went to bed but hey ho. He has been in good mood today so bonus😀

Suppose i will be forced to get on fb in new year to try to get rid of all the cm stuff. Sounds too much like hard work😀😀

I'm not a spice fan either, but DD likes sausages (no one else), DS won't eat pasta and sauce/bolognaise mixed, not mash, at the moment no veg, salad or fruit that isn't a banana! And really only chicken, mince and fish fingers! Driving us insane as he used to eat everything and we did baby led weaning AKA chucking whatever we were eating onto the high chair...so I think really I'm just going to be cooking bog standard things and watch him starve...

Relative has turned a corner, so that's good news. Was pretty worrying tbh.

DS & girlfriend now in London and DS2 off out with friends tonight, just the old fogeys left in...

Will be back on later, just got to give DS2 a lift.

Cake - that sounds tough on you . DGS is pretty good tbh , but he used to love tomatoes , particularly the little cherry ones, and now he won't touch them. He has however decided he adores sprouts- he was BLW too.

Willow - definitely time to think of yourself - I think we all end making food that everyone else, likes and don't bother making things we do Though we do like a bit of spice here - not hot , but lots of lovely flavours

Same book, flavour but not hot. He likes mild curry but even blitzing butternut into the sauce got shot down. Can sneak grated carrot and lentils into bolognaise or chilli.

Ah well. Curry tomorrow and then go from there!

Nice afternoon playing cards with mum & dad and aunt & uncle, then I've been over there for a couple of hours this evening.
Ds2 FaceTimed me because he wanted to see the dog, they are enjoying skiing.
Now cuddled up with Charlie as he's been his own for a bit.
Hope 2018 is kind to all of us x

Quiet night in, just waiting for the fireworks to start... Last year it was very noisy here.

Why were people setting off fireworks at 6 pm, then 8 pm. Can't they tell the time?

I'm impressed that you all saw in the new year I went to sleep at 10:30 and woke at half 6. DS slept till 7!!!

Going to make a pavlova in a minute and then we're off out for a walk.

I went to sleep with Charlie, woke up at 1am and went to bed then he woke me up at 6am, which seems to be a developing theme. Came down and cuddled up on the sofa with him and back to sleep for a couple of hours.

Back to work tomorrow, not sure how that is going to go but it will just have to work. My mum is going to continue coming over for a while but just for an hour to give him lunch and let him out, then the boys are back at 3.30pm and in the main I'm around the same time. I'll have to make sure I leave on time on the afternoon they are with their dad and make up any time when they are home which is the opposite to what I've been doing.

Another lazy morning. Stayed up too late last night.
Going to take down decorations today and blitz the place.
Currently watching 'Harry Potter greatest moments' with ds2 so not getting very far😀😀

Ooh love pavlova Cake my aunt makes them often when we go visit and then we are 'forced' to bring the leftovers home as she wouldnt eat it all its such a hardship😉

Squirrels ooh work what a thought. I confess i am not looking forward to it. Having to be an adult again when we have spent a week slumming it. At least i dont have a puppy to factor in but you seem to have it sussed.

Very odd day weather-wise here. Started by pouring, cleared out not a cloud in the sky, then heavy rain off and on since.

Went to DB and DSiL for lunch and catch-up (they spend more time on holiday than home) but managed to get quick bracing walk in beforehand before heavens opened.

Giving myself this week, then start another clear out onslaught for decorator/new carpet in February. Stairs and landing not much of a problem - but my bedroom and ensuite? Hey ho, by end of February will be done and I'll have had 2 weeks' holiday in Germany.

Mmmm pavlova.

Squirrel, you'll all soon get into a routine which will either work immediately or not, in which case you can tweak.

Keep warm and indeed dry, everyone. Hope Juan doing OK.

Evening all
just been busy since we came back this afternoon. Had a lovely couple of hours walking through a nature reserve, though it was a bit boggy at times. Stayed dry until we got home at about 4 .
I have also taken down the tree and decorations, and it is all boxed up ready for the loft . It looks a lot more spacious somehow !
This evening I have been head down with a tricky pattern crochet square.
Chasing Cake and Willow - ugh back to work. Its hard to get back into the mental swing after a nice break .
Horse - have you a few more days yet?
Selena - ooh you had a lovely time in Germany I seem to remember. Will it be cold this time?
I'm looking after DGS on Thursday, and so going to stay over on Wednesday night - DD and son in law have to be out early, so its just so much easier . Trying to decide whether to stay in and let him have a quiet day ( its been here there and everywhere for them since Christmas) or go out to soft play/ park . Depends on the weather a bit too.

Had a lazy day with a walk this afternoon. It was fine but cold and I forgot my hat so my ears were tingly when we got back!!

Forecast is rubbish for the rest of the week, and getting colder apparently

Cake, what did you put with the pavlova? I LOVE pav, one of my favourite desserts I love most desserts though, tbf!

I put strawberries and cream on the pavlova - they weren't very sweet, but some sugar helped that

Morning all.
Cold and frosty here this morning.
Going to check weather in Edinburgh later as supposed to be going to zoo this afternoon. If it's going to be raining it wont be much fun. Hips are on the wrong way round this morning will need to sort that out before pm😀
Yestetday was bad day. But decs are all down made kids do it as i was so fed up with doing everything myself this hol. Told them we were taking decs down and tidying their room after showers then found ds1 not even dry sitting on bed on xbox! Told them to get on with it and went out!
Went off to sit and watch the sea! High tide spray over the walls etc very calming but spoiled by idiotic patents of 2 small kids who decided to feed the lone bloody seagull on the wall. Cue a dozen of them swooping down fighting over the food, landing on all the cars so i decided to leave. Just as i was reversing car out the space the mum decided to walk round the car to put a child in theirs! Then stood giving me evils. So i inched back into space to let her do it, waited and she moved to boot of car again! So i reversed and she did it again! Then stood glaring at me as i left! Weird. But i wasnt hanging around to have toxic waste on my car from the seagulls. I could hear one on my roof by then. Silly pair they encouraged a flock of seaguls down on the cars just before they left so their car would be fine. Argh. So much for sitting relaxing.

Watched a couple of films later. Did some washing. Told kids to tidy thier room. Very exciting😀

Dont fancy walking around in the rain nor driving back in the dark and rain plus its to get heavier by the time we will be leaving.

Think we might just stay home and blitz the place and stuff ourselves with duck!

Washing on and been tidying and dusting living room, just need to hoover now. I dont like being an adult sometimes, its boring
