I wrote a post yesterday but it didn't load, then I fell asleep early evening - ds2 woke me up to ask if he could cook sausages for tea Blush to which I said no we had to have eggs are we've got so many.

Easy day yesterday "yay", clearing though things and getting stuff put away. I did just over 4 hours and when I got home everything was quite but Charlie very pleased to see me when he heard me.

And I'm not in today as I don't work Fridays (well I'm not meant to).

As a bonus Charlie didn't wake up until 7am when he heard ds2 get up and come into my room for a cuddle.

Ds1 has a cold again and suffering like a man. Went to school but asked me to email for him not to do PE and didn't go to archery last night.

Your ex isn't your problem cake, his mutterings are an irrelevance to you. Not your monkeys etc (hug).

Morning ladies!
I have just had a read through the posts.
Selena - off tomorrow? enjoy your trip , hope all the travelling goes smoothly :)
Willow - cheerful through it all as usual - cake decorations are tricky, so hope you can think of something suitable (and DS appreciates it!)
Cake - sounds tough for you atm - could you actually reply along the lines of - show me where is the evidence of xxxxx? and just sit on your hands. You should not need to justify/explain, uses up too much of your headspace.
Chasing - hope you get some down time. My friend works at an accountancy firm, and its always manic at this time of year. People do like to leave it until last minute ( she always dreads the one client who comes in just a couple of days before the deadline with the years paperwork, just stuffed in a bin bag ....)
Horse - good to see you got a good day at work, it eases everything :)
The weather has been a bit changeable here the last couple of days. Still very warm , but totally unexpected rain shower the other night, along with gusty winds ( total shock from locals -- rain !!!) It has been cloudy first thing , but the sun clears it away for mid morning. Black clouds and rain in the air this morning - took this pic this morning of rainbow, but as I speak, the sun has come out, and the clouds are disappearing. I find it lovely - the locals think its freezing, and are going around in big boots, thick coats, heavy scarves etc - I am thinking , might need to slip a thin cardi on tonight Grin
Bye for now

Hello all

I've been a busy lady. School run, food shop, coffee and a mooch round The Range with a friend. Then once back it was washing/dishwasher/hoover/dusting and then I sat down and did a solid granny square.

Waves to book and waving off Selena for the trip...

Willow it sounds like you had a busy day too.

I'm pleased to hear Charlie is letting you get a bit more sleep and hope that today has given you the breathing space you needed Squirrel

Just need to go and make tea for when boys get back from gymnastics. Check in later!

Relaxing day doing not much Smile.
Picked up some client records then met my mum at the garden centre.
Took charlie for a short but time consuming walk as I'm doing lead training with him.
Then sorted out the storage unit in the playroom - need the boys to get rid of some more stuff they never use.

It's Monday I'm off! Took DS's partner out for breakfast (she's off work through bullying from colleagues), then met friend for (more) coffee, then done ..... well, not much really Blush. Re-packed into new case and since 2.30 a furry bundle with 4 paws and loud purr has been nestling inside so I can't move it.

She seems to think she's coming too Confused.

Been glorious all day, beautiful photo book.

Horsemad · 02/02/2018 19:36

Busy day at work, not as productive as yesterday but reasonable.

Cat is grumpy because no fish & chips tonight as DH out. Grin

NotAChristmasCakePop · 02/02/2018 19:43

Ah, warm kitties!

Poor "DIL" Selena - don't get why people are so horrible to each other.

SelenaValentina · 02/02/2018 19:51

Working with groups of women often seems to cause problems. It's bananas.

Won't let me sent the photo, why not? How do I do it? Anyway, hopefully the link will work. She's still there.

Chasingsquirrels · 02/02/2018 20:49

That cat is going on holiday!

She's still there Grin.

Willow2017 · 02/02/2018 22:45

Aww so cute. She is lovely. Poor puss has her stuff all packed and she isnt allowed to go😁😁

Quiet night did dentisr, changed trousers for ds1, got glasses fixed and had tea out and got pork roast for weekend have done nothing since we got home about 6.30! Been laughing along to Q.I.

Poor 'dil' women can be awful!

Horsemad · 03/02/2018 11:21

Somebody give me a kick up the backside please! I need to get motivated and go and do some food shopping but still mooching around in pyjamas Shock

Not much else planned. DH will be watching rugby, so I am left to my own devices today I think.

Willow2017 · 03/02/2018 12:14

Horse go get a cuppa and leave the shopping till later😉

Well went to joc centre 'do' very enthusiastic person got me to a desk with a lad young enough to be my son re restaurant jobs😉 oh lordy i hope they dont exoect that level of enthusiasm 24/7 😁😁
Sounded busy but good place to work. Also asked about the shop. They could offer shifts which would suit better than present but its further away. But possibly better wages, promotion prospects and moving around different jobs if i chose. (And day shift =no hours of cleaning !!) Will wait and see if they get back to me. Quite a few there mistly seemed younger than me so probably not much chance.

Raining today and chilly. Umbrella broke so had to invest in new one.

Horsemad · 03/02/2018 12:24

That's exactly what I have done Willow! DH made the drinks and now I have no excuse... Hmm

NotAChristmasCakePop · 03/02/2018 14:31

Hello, DH watching the rugby so DS and I are lucky enough to be watching angry birds on DVD Hmm

Hope you hear something Willow youth isn't everything - they know hard workers when the see them.

Hope you've had a lovely slob around Horse, sometimes you just need it!

Very soggy out there!

Chasingsquirrels · 03/02/2018 14:41

Did you get going in the end horse? I have more than a few days like that!

Not envying Angry Birds DVD cake.

Good luck with the job hunting willow.

Took Charlie out with friend and her bulldog this morning - the size discrepancy was noticeably different (less) than only 2 weeks ago, my pup is growing up!

SIL popped over for an hour - MIL is back in hospital after another fall.

Just about to do some scouts admin and then picking ds1 up from an Explorers thing at 6.30pm before ds2 back at 7.30pm.

chasing Noooooo! Blush What a waste of a day. Really mad with myself now for just doing nothing.

Chasingsquirrels · 03/02/2018 15:03

Ah horse, turn that on its head and think of it as much needed down time rather than a wasted day x

OP posts:
Horsemad · 03/02/2018 15:13

You are right chasing. I am on my own in my department still, so non stop work from the minute I get in; then when I get a day off I don't want to do anything!

NotAChristmasCakePop · 03/02/2018 15:15

Just rest!

Willow2017 · 03/02/2018 17:55

Horse it will be good for you to just chill out once in a while. Being busy is not always a good thing.
she says having done nothing but washing and cooking tea since busy morning 😁

SelenaValentina · 03/02/2018 19:59

Just go with the flow, Horse, and enjoy doing nothing (says the queen of that!).
Fingers crossed, Willow.
How's MIL, squirrels, doesn't sound good, having falls. Step-GS is at cub camp this weekend. DSD says in a building not tent, feels colder inside than out!
Hope Angry Birds managed to cheer themselves and you up a bit, cake. Grin

I've been spinning, chatted to decorator who comes as I go on Monday morning, DS and DIL moved some furniture ready for him, then organised the train stuff a bloke coming for tomorrow whilst I swanned off for much needed hairdresser visit. I sorted out one of the chests of drawers they moved - who knew there was so much bedding (rammed) in there Blush, much of which is being recycled/dumped.

I'm shattered, feel ready for bed.
