Oh dear - I just posted the 1000 thread. Hope we all find this one.

Selena hugs back.
I just miss him, not particular things as such, just the essence of John.
And if I think about that I just ache for him and tears just leak from my eyes.
So, mostly, I don't think about it I just carry on.

Hurrah for the boys passing Willow and Squirrel - that's great news.

I hope everyone got some sleep and that you are feeling a bit better today Willow

Lovely pictures of Charlie and loving the bed - presumably he'll grow into it Grin

Such a busy day planned though mostly 'fun' stuff like baking with DD and disco for DS but I'd much rather just be under the duvet! DS was exhausted last night and he slept for 11 1/4hrs!

Have a good day all x

Chasingsquirrels · 14/12/2017 07:41

That's not Charlie's bed it's ds1's bean bag - but Charlie likes to lie on it when he's in the lounge.

He woke at 4am and I went down and sushed him, heated up a beanie bag and let him then he didn't wake until ds2 and I went down at 7am. I feel positively human! Shower & getting ready, Charlie play then work.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 14/12/2017 13:21

LOL Well done on all your jobs Willow I've done not much at all apart from setting the worlds to rights with a friend, cookie dough, washing and dishwasher.

Ah, that makes more sense as to the size of it Squirrel that's not a bad night!

waves to all - Selena book horse
Wonder how Somer and her brood are getting on?

bookbook · 14/12/2017 15:03

Afternoon all
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more in the Christmas spirit Willow -Chasing that sounds like progress , Charlie obviously likes to be warm :)
Cake - sounds good!
I have been at the allotment most of the morning, then after a bit of housework, have also cleared out a lot of stuff in the greenhouse that needed doing, ready to sow things for the New Year.
Sitting down with a cup of coffee , tea is all prepped up, so going to finish writing cards ready to post tomorrow , and maybe squeeze in some crochet :)

Willow2017 · 14/12/2017 20:56

Evening all.
Shattered and aching all over😀 but i survived! Had to go in earlier as boss hadnt asked if staff could actually do the extra hours! But on with staff member who is very tolerant of my errors when writing down food orders and explains things to me. Makes such a difference.

Minor panic when i realised ds2 had left his wallet but ds1 had enough for his bus too.

Still got cards to post.

Book i dont know how you fit everything in one day!

bookbook · 14/12/2017 23:17

Just popping in to say goodnight all
Willow - I don't have messy boys around, so the housework is minimal - well, apart from DH that is !
I'm posting my cards tomorrow .
Sleep well

I have decided I hate my job.

Chasingsquirrels · 15/12/2017 08:17

Hugs horse, want to talk about it?

OP posts:
bookbook · 15/12/2017 09:03

Morning all
Horse :( - I suspect we can all sympathise with this. It makes you so stressed, having to deal with all the rubbish, and feeling trapped because you have to work. Be easy on yourself . As Chasing says - maybe get it off your chest here.
Even if its not totally relevant - I was watching a you tube thing about body language at work , and maybe you need to watch it too, .
Well, off out gadding with DH today - an easy foray into buying the last minutes bits for everyone, and lunch out .
Have a good day everyone ,

Horsemad · 15/12/2017 09:11

Thank you both. I really can't say too much on here for fear of outing; suffice to say, I think I'm at breaking point and am going to spend the weekend considering my options.

bookbook · 15/12/2017 09:16

Scary, but necessary . Work is such a big chunk of your life. Hand hold here

Willow2017 · 15/12/2017 09:19

((Hugs)) Horse vent away.

Cold and wet morning. Still in pjs😀 still flipping aching and my dodgy knee playing up. Dont think i will be doing much. Kids half day today and cm so going to have an easy day. Need to wrap mindees present as i suspect wont have them next friday.

Ds1 has the cold we all have and was barking like a dog last pm. But he slept fine so Cruel mum packed him off to school today as he has had absences already this term and i am keeping them both off last day to visit relative as its the only day we can catch them in! Flipping 87yrs old and always out and about😀
Have a nice day shopping Book

SelenaValentina · 15/12/2017 10:41

Horse - poor you, been there too. Try writing down the Upside then Downside of staying, then doing same for leaving. Do it in a sort of grid then it's clear which wins out. pm me if you'd like more.

It so helps to see it in writing - especially if you say it out loud too. Questions I asked (retired counsellor head on here) was whether the job was working for you, ie not just paying bills but also holidays, hobbies, lovely extras, etc. etc. Then after all written down, the crunch question, So what's the pay-off? Is it worth it?

Concentrates the mind. And nothing beats a good Rant!!

book, as I've said before, I want your energy too.

Willow, look after yourself
cake, chasing and everyone else, have a good day. It's sunny here at the moment, but chilly. I got up really late, cats have been fed, dustbin sorted, off to see friend and Brew Brew.

NotAChristmasCakePop · 15/12/2017 12:56

Evening all!
oh I love the Christingle service Cake
Had a very nice and productive day. It was rather quiet everywhere , which was a bit of a surprise. Nice lunch out, then an absolute bingo moment. We love ferretting around in charity shops - I am always looking for wool for making hats etc , and look at books . Today stuck away in a corner - a new/ unused box of K'nex ..115 pieces £2.50 . Just checked on Amazon - it is a discontinued set, but was over £50 Shock .... DGS loves K'nex so thats an extra present for him- (but I may just put away another one all ready bought for later in the year ).
Mind you - I did have the DH moment today. I went to buy very specific things , but also a mooch as I went to find them . We went to Vangarde with M&S, John Lewis and Next. DH was like 'what do we need?' Right - here it is , do we want this or this ...off to next thing . And we were out and done in 15 minutes. .. not much of a mooch . Ah well .
Did have a moment in Sainsburys too. We have a very small one where we live, and today we were next door to a really big one. So decided to buy some Christmas drinks and treats and use my Nectar points. It seems you cannot redeem them if its not your usual store . I was able to sort it by them ringing Nectar up. When did that happen ? < old lady muttering>

It was raining this morning , but it has it's silver lining - a lovely rainbow

NotAChristmasCakePop · 15/12/2017 19:41

Lovely rainbow! Tesco was like the end of the world - don't know what it will look like next Friday.

Great bargain, DS likes those too.

Hope you're ok apart from your post disappearing Squirrel

DH out so single handed wrangling of over tired small done, now the big one, then some chocolate or Doritos and dip or both

Night all x

Chasingsquirrels · 15/12/2017 20:19

Great bargain book!

All fine, just very busy. But finished for the week now.
Boys with their dad for the weekend although meeting ds1 to borrow for lunch with the some of the archery group which will be nice.
Took Charlie to the vets this afternoon for injections - put him in a bag to carry him from the car.
Ds2 put the bag over his shoulder - should have got a picture of that, so funny.

Haha, clever idea chasing Smile

Quiet day at home for me, it is really cold. I was awake at 4am and was so cold after DH went to work that I made a hot water bottle and wore my dressing gown and bedsocks!
I did warm up eventually.

Willow2017 · 15/12/2017 22:10

Evening ladies
Quiet day mindee went home early so had a blast from past and played on xbox with ds2 running around trying to shoot each other. Was hilarious havent done that in ages and i was rubbish for a while. Was rilling around laughing.
Planned to dye hair tonight but they keep putting good things on t.v. 😀 (makes a change). Just realised i havent done tea dishes yet tsk tsk.

Sounds like a great day Book mine loved knex too.

Horse i am the same tonight its very cold. Put heating off this morning but its been on for 3 days otherwise, minimum overnight and up and down during day. So cold!

Cake fingers crossed for a good night and lie in.

Squirrels charlie looks so cute in his bag.

Horsemad · 16/12/2017 07:02

My DS2 is home today Smile I am looking forward to seeing him.

Putting our tree up tomorrow, and hoping I start feeling a bit more festive.

Willow2017 · 16/12/2017 19:14

Why am i always first at something? 2 minutes to meet time and nobody here. Arghhh. Wish me luck i suck at social gatherings and its been so long since i did one i am sure to mess up and knock over the wine or drop food on myself. Might do what ds2 dies and tuck napkin under my chin 😁😁😂

Chasingsquirrels · 16/12/2017 19:19

Have a lovely evening Willow
