Am shattered. Busy last couple of hours as just me and chef left! Not a load of customers but all the cleaning up takes ages. (The proverbial hit the fan re changing shifts!)
Boss arrived at quiet spell and although i was finding myself jobs to do they decided that all the chairs should be cleaned then the seating area walls and then the walls of the prep area! Ha ha i did the chairs much to my backs dismay but not the rest i wanted away before midnight😀

Thats an idea book not sure if they would take me up on it as she is still in the "best baby ever in the world" stage like we all were😀

Will ask though.

Cake will def ask about usual time it takes. Tbf i thought they would just pkug it into the socket there is already a cooker socket but he wired it into wall and had go put new plate in as old one rusty. And it seemed a faff to shut off gas for some reason. Not to mention the other stuff. (And the eyewattering view of the guys behind as he crouched down eeewwwwgggh😲)

Crikey willow, what a day - what a boss! Our volunteer leader is on fine form too. 'You're not going to Christmas do, are you Selena? Do you think you could do the path lab run for a really really busy clinic on Thursday pm?'

'Yes, OK'. 'Oh great, but it's really really busy.'

I checked with path lab this morning. It's not even a 'busy' clinic, the vampire/phlebotomist rings when she needs someone, maybe 2 or 3 times during the 4 hours of the clinic.

So I told our leader I wouldn't be there as no need and explained slowly, quietly why. She's just put out a call for someone to cover for the 'really really busy' clinic on Thursday. Duh!

Glad you're feeling bit better cake, and you too squirrel.

How is Charlie doing at night chasing? I hope he's settling down for you. We got our oil delivery last week we ran out once when DH forgot to order it - I was not happy, can't be doing with being cold!

It's been very cold here today but was raining earlier, so maybe it's warming up.

Willow - I would definitely complain , not sure you will get anywhere, but its worth a shot. You must be aching after all that - your boss likes their pound of flesh .
Chasing - all those lovely snuggles are very good for relaxation , and must be doing you some good I think :)
Selena - I often think managers like that are acting on their own level of competency , which is saying not much , by sounds .
Cake - hope the neurofen works, and you are okay tomorrow .
Busy day tomorrow - out earlyish as -DH has a drs appointment .Then off to do my big shop , but stopping off first to drop things at my brothers house, then popping in to see an old friend before Christmas. Also picking up DGS too, so running around a bit tomorrow. I have even done a proper shopping list, so there is no messing !

Not seeing Juan this week after all. She's been doing a bit of work and been offered more hours this week too. Good for keeping her busy I guess. Have passed on everyone's love.

Nights are getting better, I've slept on my own bed the last 3 nights and he woke up at 5am today and didn't settle again so I went down and we dozed together until nearly 7am.
Just cleared up the mess from last night, mopped the kitchen floor, cleared up the mess ds2 then made knocking over and breaking a glass after bringing back a cloth from clearing up a Charlie wee and about to have a shower. I don't usually get up till 8am. Am knackered again today but have a meeting this morning I need to get through then can step down very slightly although need to finalise some things before the end of the year - which should have meant this week as the boys finish on Friday, but I'm going to have to go in a bit next week.

Morning all. A few bad nights early mornings all round!
Been sitting down stairs with hot water bottle again since about 4.30. Think those damm chairs did it. 😠Wont be doing that again in a hurry. Nearly slept in when finally dozed off about 7.

Was going to go shopping first thing but thats all going to be late if i go at all now. Taken more tablets so will see.
Cake i wish she would 'manage' as well as she dishes out orders. Instead of all the p.a. round the houses ways of dealing with staff problems.

Fingers crossed for new parents. Good news about Juan and working.

Hope you get some more sleep Squirrel I guess I'm used to not having sleep. We've had a fairly successful day though family story time to get through yet!

I've had a productive day, spinning, dentist (10/10 hurray!), posted parcel, walk on prom (short as freezing wind), lunch, tip with ton of cardboard as blue bin full, physio, now home with hot choc.

I'm carrying all the stress in my shoulders, apparently. Wish I could go every day it's bliss.

Went into town only got 2 presents pretty much waste of time (except my free hazelnut cream latte and my book😀) aching by time i got home. Done a ton of laundry then fell asleep for an hour!

Ds1 has to go back to school for 'Talent showcase' he is showing off stuff they made in engineering with his friend. Ds2 has tkd. They are having sarnie just now and will surprise them with chinese sit in after pick up ds1 at 8.
I am in a real downer today. Never felt so unchrismassy ever. Hall needs hoovering and shoe rack putting back after yestetday and just dont care. Am sick of being sore, sick of things going wrong and just feel like i am muddling through. Need to tidy up and need a magic wand for my bedroom as i can hardly move in it for stuff 😀 and work instead of being the answer to problems is adding to them. Oh and one of the lego sets isnt what i thought it was! Its ok, same theme and am sure ds will like it but i wouldnt have bid if i had realised.

Also more worrying is that i noticed again last night that the settings on my phone had been changed while i was at work. It was on plane mode so if kids had tried to call i wouldnt have heard them and other settings changed too plus wifi turned off! Everyone leaves their phones on the same shelf where we all work, i only check for kids messaging me but rest are always on fb or something. Its crap to think i have been on with the same person both times its happened. Will password it now.
Just want to have a good ol cry but cant as not fair on kids to see me falling apart. Not their fault. Oh well KBO.

Sorry to hear you sounding down Willow, some days it does seem that everyone/thing is conspiring against you.

I hope things look better for you tomorrow, are there any other jobs you can apply for?

I would have thought interfering with someone's phone is possibly illegal? I'd be saying clearly that someone seems to have been messing with my phone, I've been told I should tell the police, it's putting my children at risk.

well home, had a bath, feet up.
Willow - You do so much and try so hard to do everything by yourself. Sometimes, you just have to have a rest, and realise you can't do it all. Have you no-one just to take a little of the load, just for an hour or two? I suspect you are bone weary, and that makes it so easy to let things get on top of you. And the phone thing is just - definitely put on a password. That is wrong on lots of levels. Have my shoulder to lean on - I just wish it were more than a virtual one.
Cake - oh, possible good news on cute baby :) and hang on - only another 7 days to the 20th! Good news -ish for Juan , just a shame about the meet up.
Selena - sounds like a very positive day. I too would love a neck massage - it is so relaxing :) Good news on teeth too - you don't appreciate them until you have problems ( I'm lucky with mine ...!)

Well, off to do a bit more knitting, then bed for me I think. Rushed around a bit today, but I think I am just about on top of shopping now, just a few small bits to choose, and then I am done.

Oh Willow, I wish I could do something positive for you - sounds like you need to be a bit of a boost.

Never got time to actually go in to school thing but we are just back from stuffing ourselves with chinese food. Delish😀
There is no one around to help out and the chances of ex actually taking kids anywhere is slim.

As for phone i cant prove anything so will let it go. There is enough bad feeling at work just now without adding to it. Had chat with person who put me up for the job and she said that despite the other persons experience there, as they have p'd off owner so much they are entrusting me to be serving and helping suprvise the youngster instead of them. I will have longtine staff member in charge but its a scary thought but will boost my confidence. (Will not mention the paranoia that everything is cleaned exactly right so i dont get the negativeity on sunday when i go back 😉)

Any tips on where to get small amount of dried whole chilli on the cheap? Need one or two for a game. Just basic supermarkets here no fancy delis or markets btw.
