I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do

Ok, so I had sex with my ex recently. We're best friends and sometimes have sex - I'm still mad about him but he doesn't know that.

I've just taken a pregnancy test. Its positive. Took a cheap one and then went and got a clearblue digital one. Theres no way that could be wrong could it?!

I don't know what to do. I haven't told anyone yet. I haven't told him.

For context, I'm 35, I have a good professional job. I'm old enough and smart enough to avoid this kind of situation. Except Im not. I really really want children but had accepted that time might run out for me by the time I find the right man. My head is spinning.

Sounds like a happy ending. Congratulations to you both. Has he considered counselling regarding his issues.

A counsellor could help him get to why he feels the way he does and work towards fixing the problem.

As you were all so supportive and lovely to me I just wanted to update a week on. It's all great. He says it's like a switch has been flicked in his brain and he realises that he's in love with me and says that he would want us to be together even if something went wrong with the pregnancy. It's still early days so we are proceeding with caution but have told our closest friends and family that we're in a relationship.

Thank you. It still doesn't feel real at all but I am happy which is the first time I've been able to say that for a really long time.
