I've got a huge crush on the builder who's currently sorting out the kitchen. He's around the same age as me and he's adorable. I'm married for nearly 3 years and ds is 20mo. How on earth do you get over this sort of thing? Obviously there's no chance I'd do anything about it! But I also can't avoid him at the moment for another week or so.

I don't think I'd get any hassle if I was FWBwVP - the ultimate get out of jail free card I imagine! Yes, sort of very slim silk slithers down the sides right at the edge of my back/ribs, which then scoop around and meet above my tailbone, so the whole of my back is bare.
Don't know about him but I sure did Grin. I still get shivers thinking about it. One of the buttons came undone towards the end of the evening. I had it done up for me Blush Blush Blush. Even ex doesn't know that bit.

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 00:38

NigelSmigel. Pah. He always looks like such a goody two shoes.

Yeah I can see it, ex has grey hair and grey eyes, and does look quite German.

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 04/02/2017 01:13

Loup did he ask to do it for you (the button)? How did you manage not to faint or something Grin? were you alone in some quiet corner? This is starting to sound like a high circles erotic novel.
Not sure about 'free card' - not being the wife (meaning they would know this unofficially while would deny all involvement - especially when he was still married). It's the US we are talking about, especially if a while back!

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 04/02/2017 01:15

didn't think he's that forward and tactile! Sure sign that he's confident in his abilities as a lover Wink

You don't. You just daydream about having him up against the new kitchen units when everyone's out of the house. Grin
Nobody needs to be any the wiser. La, la, la.....

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 01:24

Nope didn't ask just did. Be warned, this is where it starts sounding like a crap Mills and Boon novel. I'd gone outside on to the terrace as there was a meteorite shower that evening, and I needed a bit a break from the social stuff and wanted to be alone briefly. I didn't even realise he was behind me until he told me to keep still. I think I must have a pretty boring life when someone doing up a button is the stuff of fantasies Blush.
Yes, the confidence thing may have crossed my mind a few times

I don't know, there is a certain degree of pride, as in it would be seen as an insult to have someone hassled. Besides in my day dream there is no wife, just me Smile

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 01:25

And no, usually he's known for being very detached.

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 01:26

Christ now I'm beet red and DH is giving me the Hmm face.

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 04/02/2017 01:36

no no, Loup, doing up buttons is really very erotic - more so than UNdoing, plus the fact he didn't ask or tell you what was he about to do - that's erotic! so pretty much anyone in your position would get very excited (if they liked the man even just a bit) - that sounded also romantic with the scene, so getting hooked could almost to be expected.

I'm now thinking maybe you are writing a novel? Are we really talking about VP? I think it's my previous crush that makes me take it as read as I'm enjoying it haha - btw part of his attraction is that detachment. If it's real than SO not surprised you are bright red now. I wonder if you encouraged him in any subtle way before this happen?

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 04/02/2017 01:37

*then

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 01:41

Nope very real unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you see it. It feels very weird and kind of exposing (like being naked in a dream iykwim?) to talk about, I've never spoken to anyone about it, except teasing from ex and now DH. I doubt my face was very encouraging, I nearly jumped out of my skin when I felt hands on my back Blush.

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 01:42

Fortunately I think, perhaps I can regale my great grand children in years to come at inappropriate times Grin

LotsOfAxolotlsAndOcelots · 04/02/2017 07:38

Nigel Havers shouted at me to get my dog out of his garden once Blush
To be fair she wasn't in it but had just stood at the entrance to the drive. I think there must been a beam of some sort that she had broken so he came out in a state of high dudgeon about it. He looks too much like my bro for me to fancy him. I'm sure he's OK really just a dog hater

SoggyClothesAndBreezeblocks · 04/02/2017 08:52

loup I'm all hot under the collar reading that Grin I can feel the sexual tension as he does up the button!

glitterazi that's the one. Grin

There were builders working on the end of the road. Young, polite, hard working and helpful. And fit!

I am a loyal, faithful mother and wife.

Those poor men have no idea how badly they have been objectified every day they came into work.

GetAHaircutCarl · 04/02/2017 10:50

All this builder-lust is making me laugh.

I was very much enjoying objectifying my Baby Builder until the whole 'sex on a spoon' debacle.

DH noticed that we were getting through a lot of coffee pods the other day and I had to admit that Baby Builder doesn't much like tea so I make him a cappuccino Blush.

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 04/02/2017 11:43

Loup glad it's real, you are successfully reviving my former crush on him Grin. No I meant did you encourage him before the balcony scene? I think he must have realised you liked him from the way you talked/looked at him? so your poker face probably was letting you down that eve deliberately I don't think he'd be that hands-on otherwise without even warning you first haha. Makes a difference from crude Trump who just 'comes up and kisses them' straight away.

What happened after - did you say 'thanks' all flustered? was it then that the kiss on the cheek followed (surely that would be too much to bear)? probably not as he has a LOT of self control, so prob that was when they were all leaving.

LoveforPGTipsMonkey · 04/02/2017 11:45

To be clear I do not have a crush on Nigel, I just like him/find attractive - he's a good husband material, that's not same as passion Grin

PidgeyfinderGeneral · 04/02/2017 11:51

@LoupGarou, I met BoJo a few years ago and he was so charming that I nearly had a crush on him too. And I'm not even a Tory voter. Grin

Trustyourself2 · 04/02/2017 12:11

Soup loving this thread. Does your builder have a sleb looky-likely, so we can get an idea of his gorgeousness?

Recently came into contact with builder who looks like Mark Womack.

Smellyoulateralligater · 04/02/2017 12:23

George dubbya is my bet.

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 12:47

Those poor men have no idea how badly they have been objectified every day they came into work. Grin This is brilliant.

Soggy I think ketchup red is my new skin tone Blush

Love happy to help Grin. No I don't think so, I am actually a stickler for fidelity (despite how it might sound) so I certainly wouldn't have done anything consciously, but yes I think the poker face probably wasn't at its best Blush. I had thought I was doing a good job of being a charming hostess. Yeah, Trump's approach would definitely have earned him a less favourable response Angry. What an asshole Angry.
Afterwards I turned around and gave him a curious/questioning look (I honestly had no idea what to say) he smirked, took his hands off
my back and then followed a slightly weird conversation about my ex. Flustered doesn't begin to cover it Blush.

Yeah yeah Love we all believe you. That is a very good point about passion/husband material though Grin.

@Pidgey perhaps he has presence in person? Grin

LoupGarou · 04/02/2017 12:50

Christ, just shuddering again at the thought of Trump suddenly kissing you. Perhaps that's secretly why toothpaste with peroxide in was invented, so people could bleach their mouths safely afterwards Envy

Purplebluebird · 04/02/2017 12:54

When I lived in Lonodon (posh ish area actually) someone kept making fires in the back yard, on mattresses and rubbish. So every time the fire brigade came to put it out (3 times in 6 months), me and my flat mate went to stand in the window and admire the fire men Grin

Last night I had a man come to buy some books from me, and then he asked me out on a date on message afterwards! Haha Grin I have someone already, so turned him down. He was very embarrassed.

SoggyClothesAndBreezeblocks · 04/02/2017 16:15

He's not back til Thursday now
