Just opened a message on tinder:

'you have a good first pic, but you're really just a fat girl'

Sent a suitably scathing response but am kind of crushed.

I have lost 3 1/2 stone. Am now a size 14. I thought I looked ok now.

I got nasty messages via whatsapp after we moved off tinder to whatsapp.

he had seemed ok on tinder.

he started texting me whilst drunk. So i told him to go away. he then sent me messages calling me ugly and fat, etc.

I noted that his phone number linked up to his facebook and linkedin so i knew where he worked and his full name.

i told him via whatsapp what I'd found out and said one more word and screen short and email your vile messages to your HR dept at work and also inform the police.

I really pity him. To project that much, you have to be deep in the throes of crippling insecurity. I bet it's just an unfortunate coincidence that you've also been losing weight and therefore are sensitive to weight comments , but really it's just as ludicrous as him saying " your first pic is fine but you're blatantly a ginger / an eskimo/ a man / a red indian."

I'm a very large lady. I used to work with a guy who was stunningly good looking, very, very posh, a real high flier and not short of a bob or two. He was always extremely nice to me and would stop and chat in the tea room, etc..... Not that he fancied me - he had a girlfriend who was so gorgeous you had to put sunglasses on to look at her photo - but he always treated me so nicely that it put the following phrase into my head:

Better looking, richer, more successful men than you have not felt the need to upset me. I see no reason why you should feel entitled to.
