We had another row. He left around 6.

Came back in briefly. Wouldn't take his jacket off when DD1 asked him to.

Said he'd 'Had enough of your (mine) shit' and walked back out.

Last week we had a row that went awry pretty badly.

I put some clothes out for him.

I'm sick his temper.

Of course, all the arguments are my fault. I don't listen. I talk over him. Etc. Etc.

Luckily tomorrow's my last day at work before the holidays so I'll be able to sort out childcare for hte new year.

But that's me single mum of 2 for now.

He wouldn't even talk to DD1. Of course, I'm sure that's my fault, too.

I used to love the 'islands' - Dad often used to take us there at the weekend for a walk, and I remember regularly falling in the water!

Used to have loads of BBQs at Loch End as well!

Glad to 'hear' you sounding more positive today, Expat.

Inverness used to be the Big Metropolis to us, when we lived in Thurso, which was before the Kessock Bridge was built. We went there once a month for stuff we couldn't get in Thurso, ie just about everything. My boys loved going to Littlewoods to buy Tiny Tots sweeties from the pick'n'mix. M&S didn't open until after we'd moved to relative civilisation in Perth.

Was Camerons the House of Fraser store? I do recall a fusty old department store. Inverness has retail parks now, they even have a Borders, which Scaberdeen doesn't have.

Inverness is a big scary metropolis to me

I wouldn't want to deal w/any days that are any longer than what we already put up w/here, so Inverness is a no-go.

Besides, DH finds it 'too far'.
