Ahh thank you everybody for continued lovely support and funny posts! Bobs, it's not until Tuesday, we have a lovely weekend with family to look forward to first. I desperately need a break after recent events.

As I have previously said, this particular battle will hopefully be over by next week. Then it's onto maintenance. I have no choice, he is not supporting DS adequately and needs to reorganise his priorities and put his son first for what would be the first time ever. I wish it didn't have to be such a battle, he could have paid what he agreed and volunteered to pay from the outset and we wouldn't have to go down yet another shitty and stressful path...but no.

I can't understand any "man" who would do this to his child, I really can't.

Well, from a local news page...

Another case of WT

I am sad to realise that there are more women suffering the way you are. One is bad enough, but this being a common occurrence... I mean, what's a few hundred to support your own three kids. But no, the kids don't matter. How could they possibly need financial support from their dads? No, it's just the mother being a greedy cow Hmm. Some people are just wrongly wired, just like MrWT.

I'll be buying my pineapple on Monday!

TheFormidableMrsC · 06/08/2015 14:07

acat My God, they're everywhere, that is absolutely shocking. There is another new very sad thread on Mumsnet this morning, almost identical scenario to my own. I just can't get my head around it, why would you do that to somebody you've lived with, created a life with, had children with? Is a different vagina or very many different ones in Mr WT's case that important that you would destroy so many lives? It is inexplicable to me. Then you have OW's who facilitate it, despite being parents themselves. They don't care what they inflict on your children as long as they get their own way.

I can't wait for this to be over...and well away from them...Sad

It does make me smile MrsC that everyone now sees something pineapple related and immediately thinks of you and your struggle with the gruesome twosome. Have a lovely weekend with your family, you deserve every good thing to come your way, pineapple power to the fore on Tuesday, we are all with you, xx

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 06/08/2015 14:32

I've never understood the mindset either, MrsC. It's an ego thing, I think - the "man" is just so much more important than any child of his in his own eyes - they don't see the children as being part of them, they're part of the EX and so they don't want a bar of them. Or only if it really annoys the Ex. On their own terms, anyway.

pointythings · 06/08/2015 16:21

I just feel that using the word 'man' to describe these people is somehow wrong. There has to be a special word for them, really.

AcrossthePond55 · 06/08/2015 16:55

There are no words really, are there? That mindset is like trying to understand a space alien's language.

I've often wondered if they would feel the same way if there was just some way that they could pay it in the child's name. I think one of the main reasons for their WTishness is that payments are made in 'her' name, iyswim.

Although BFF told her X in desperation that if he wanted to pay directly for things like school lunches, activities, sport, etc so he could be sure she wasn't 'squandering the money on herself' Hmm she'd be fine with that. Didn't change a thing. When he did manage to make a paltry payment to her (every time we was in arrears to the point the authorities threatened him with jail) he wrote 'child support/extortion' on the check. Wanker.

AcrossthePond55 · 06/08/2015 17:00

he was in arrears. We have never been in arrears!

bobs123 · 07/08/2015 01:01

Confused Whoops, my bad. Pineapple power for Tuesday it is then!

UptheChimney · 07/08/2015 08:56

I've followed your story MrsC, and wish you all the strength you need for Tuesday, and all the happiness you deserve.

I am constantly amazed at the way some men can just walk away from their own flesh, and then de-prioritise paying for them.

I fantasise that if I ruled the world, I'd tax all men an extra 1% to cover the minority of deadbeat sperm-donors (for they are not dads) who force all of us tax payers to cough up via the benefits system. I resent having to pay for the responsibilities that some men choose to ignore.

Then peer pressure from all the responsible fathers out there would mean that not supporting your children responsibly and properly would be seen to be letting the side down, and unmanly.

I can but dream ...

ptumbi · 11/08/2015 09:41

Goodluck today MrsC

ScrambledSmegs · 11/08/2015 10:27

Am thinking of you today, MrsC, and sending loads of good vibes.

Sadly I don't have a pineapple, but I do have a tin of pineapple chunks. It's a very big tin.

Bogeyface · 11/08/2015 10:51

Got my pineapple, thinking of you!

Oh and Pauline.....if you could name me in court again it would be nice, was so chuffed to know that I was mentioned in the contempt allegations! Yes it was me that came up with the nickname Pauline Calf, despite the obvious insult to Steve Coogan :)

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 11/08/2015 12:16

Oh I should have bought a pineapple! Boo.
Thinking of you today MrsC - hope it goes your way today and something is achieved!
And that you finally get to kick ol' WT to kerb. Such a relief that would be!

I also have something that might be useful for you, but I'm going to PM you that. Obviously it would only work where reasonable adults are concerned, so that lets out WT and PAuline, but it's still worth a read, I think.

Wine in advance of hopefully good news!

AcrossthePond55 · 11/08/2015 14:15

I have my pineapple pom poms and a pina colada waiting.

Candles lit on the voodoo altar and hat pins ready.

Best of luck!!

TheFormidableMrsC · 11/08/2015 18:24

Hi everybody, thanks for lovely messages as ever! Smile

Up and Across, yes you do have to wonder don't you? That is going to be the next battle. I also think that men should not be allowed to abandon their families onto benefits and just walk away. I can't wait to get out of this hole, which I will one way or the other, but I agree, taxation would be a very good thing! It's disgraceful.

Anyway, onto today's hearing. Mr WT did turn up, 20 stone of unshaven blubber sat in front of me. I literally cannot get over how bad he looks or how he has let himself go, I haven't seen him for a couple of months probably, maybe a bit longer, so it was a shock. Yellowing, lined, so so lined, he used to have such a baby face. It's a pity really, more fool him and OW for letting him get to that state.

So, this is where we are at. The remarriage clause remains as according to DJ Slow-Speaker that is the "law". Indeed. He is correct, but he did say at the last hearing that he wouldn't be ordering that clause. I did point this out and he said he "might have insinuated it" but that it is normal for it to remain. However, what it actually means (and this is what I misunderstood but have now been able to clarify) was that the "spousal payments" of £1.00 per year so very generous would stop if I were to remarry, it doesn't mean that I can't claim on the nominal order in terms of DS and that remains joint lives. That is absolutely fine by me. I have no intention of ever remarrying or living with anybody again, that is just not going to happen, I will never ever invest anything in a man ever again after this, however, I wanted to be sure that Mr WT was held responsible for the little boy he has failed so spectacularly and that remains Smile.

Mr WT appears annoyed that he can't be removed from the mortgage. That is just tough apparently. When I sell the house and when the mortgage is paid off, he will no longer have to worry about it. It's amazing that he is even allowed to just stop paying his own mortgage and leave it to the taxpayer and yet complains about it! Hmm

Finally, he tried to get the consent order signed and indeed sealed during the same hearing. I refused as I want to have the document he placed in front of me at the hearing checked by a solicitor before I sign it. Judge said "sensible". So, I shall organise that over the next few days. This could have been dealt with at the last hearing, Mr WT's excuse for not turning up was that it was a "mention", er no, it wasn't. It was a clearly worded listing for a "all parties" and indeed was set because Mr WT wrote a load of shit to the court!

Lastly, and it was a warning shot, if the consent order is not returned to the court within the timescale listed on the order, then we will be sent to trial, with full up to date financial disclosure required. Obviously, I have nothing to hide, Mr WT and Pauline can't say the same. I am absolutely sure they would wish to avoid that alongside the barrister and solicitor costs, never mind cross examination. I don't anticipate any further delays and know that I will be able to invoke the nominal order when not if it becomes necessary.

So, I am hopeful that I will finally be divorced within the next month! As the judge said, this has gone on too long. Frankly it was all completely unnecessary but I am glad that I can finally see a future for the kids and I! Am very happy today! Smile

Sweet Flowers very positive post.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 11/08/2015 18:42

I'm delighted for you OP, I wish no more drama, health, wealth and happiness for you and your DS.

For Mr WT and Pauline I would wish the exact opposite ... But it sounds like they are there already.

pointythings · 11/08/2015 19:03

Well done, MrsC - justice finally done, no more wriggling out. Now you can fade gradually away from this thread and into a peaceful new live.

Bogeyface · 11/08/2015 20:30

Glad it went so well my love :)

Then is in sight!!!!!

xx

Bogeyface · 11/08/2015 20:30

AcrossthePond55 · 11/08/2015 21:04

the light at the end of the tunnel, seeing the harbour at the end of the journey, whatever the metaphor, you're almost there!

Thank goodness, what a relief! Not long now till you can breathe again.
