MRsC please try and play by the rules. Be the one who makes him look like the twat he is. I know you don't need this shit and there are only so many last straws you can handle, but you can do this. Just think of him having his dick slammed in the nearest door - because it will be. Don't give him any ammunition. You've had really good advice here, be strong and go with it.

Just as an aside, having lied to his mother that he no longer has online banking, money has mysteriously appeared in my bank account. He doesn't realise this is no longer about the money. I have had enough.

Poor you. It's just like being pulled every which way. All I can say is that you must try to keep things separated. You don't have to facilitate contact, but I think you may need to allow it for now. But let him do all the logistics and present you with a proposal which either is or is not convenient for YOU.

The cheque thing was very childish of him. But don't let him get to you or try to make you do something not in your best interest. You know that's what they're trying to do.

Things are off kilter here. My brother has fallen off the wagon, hard. He's in rehab now. Breaks my heart, he really hates himself when he falls. Just say a prayer or think a good thought for him. He's a lovely man and so devoted to our mother.

He mustn't hate himself, it's just being ill, so glad he is getting treatment. He is so lucky to have you behind him. Prayers and good thoughts are there in spades for him, I am sure not just from me, but all our lovely friends on this thread and beyond...sending lots of love xx

Nothing practical to say. Just, you have been under incredible strain through no fault of your own, for a very long time. Just a big big hug. I've not done the financials and kids stuff, but I can still relate to "I have had enough".

Thanks everybody for posts and good wishes. I have in fact reinstated contact given it is (I am told by everybody) the "right" thing to do. Let's hope that comes to pass. My little boy has been through enough. I have made it clear that I do not want him to have contact with OW and H has stated he is putting in an application to court (again)...which will be a whole new thread entirely...WWK, can't wait to see you. Have just put clean sheets on your bed x

Hello - all going well in Chez MrsC: she's written a lovely "position statement" ready for court, which I can confirm is currently merely updating her legal bundle over an ironing board, cunningly observed by a pineapple.

She claims she's about to hit the wine and then the sack. The voice of reason that is WWK, suggested drinking the wine, and sleeping it off in her bed, like a normal person does.

She's going to be fine...
