How to crack a passcode on his mobile?

Pathetic... I know... But he has got 2 mobiles and one of them got passcode.... Wondering if maybe there is my proof of him cheating... :(

I watched mine input the code. Worked out the first two numbers were 1 & 9 so went through birth dates.... It's his mother's year of birth. They do tend to go with something obvious such as birth year or another pin no.

WhileWeSleep · 14/05/2014 18:22

If you're so concerned that you.need to "break in" to his phone then it's over. The trust is gone.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 14/05/2014 18:26

Agree 100% with the PP. If you did break into the phone and it contained nothing incriminating whatsoever, you'd still think he was cheating.

gh35 · 14/05/2014 18:53

Not easy, but can be done - but you need to be a bit techie.

But as above, if you think it then probably then there are other clues.

How precious is he with the phone? I.e. if he shows you something on FB will he let the phone out of his hand? Or is it strictly no contact?

Bananasandnutella · 14/05/2014 19:18

My ex had a figure rather than numbers. I watched him for ages and knew that each time I tried I had three chances before it locked. The day I got it right, was the day I found out his affair and the fact they were discussing their new home!

I wasn't expecting to find anything, but I was suspicious of his behaviour.

Bananasandnutella · 14/05/2014 19:19

Forgot the advice part!! I'd watch him slyly and remember how many attempts you get!

whatchatalkinboutwillis · 14/05/2014 19:26

I've got a much better idea, end the relationship.

CrispyHedgeHog · 14/05/2014 19:40

Be careful if you do this.. I have an app on my phone which takes a photo and emails it to me with their location if someone puts the wrong code in

badbaldingballerina123 · 14/05/2014 19:42

If it's a touch screen give it a wipe with glass cleaner. In the right light you'll be able to see his fingerprints on the screen.

Fairylea · 14/05/2014 19:51

What difference does it make if you know he's cheating when you don't trust him? Pointless finding out. Just leave him now.

AmeliaAmelia · 14/05/2014 21:10

He has got 2 mobiles....
One passcode free... Another one, old one is just for work and got passcode on.... I just want to know. I want to know that I'm not going crazy in my head....

No trust - no relationship.

You have written about him before and nothing has changed. Why do you need such proof?.

What did you learn about relationships when you were growing up?.

Stop doing further emotional harm to yourself by ending this sham of a relationship asap.

As someone who has been spied on in a past relationship (with no good reason) I would also suggest leave, or just don't open the phone.

Spying is not on.

Imagine someone coming on here saying they caught their DP trying to break into their phone.

If you cannot trust him, tell him and leave: fairer all round.

Raskova · 14/05/2014 21:35

Very interested about the name of this app. The only thing you can do is watch him put it in.

Vivacia · 14/05/2014 21:41

I agree with others saying that it's not ok to breach his privacy.

You do not need proof. You can end the relationship just because you are unhappy.

BitOutOfPractice · 14/05/2014 21:45

I know the OP doesn't need proof but fuck me I remember and understand the almost pathalogical compulsion to know. It's a horrible feeling and I feel so sorry for you OP that you're in this place.

The thing is, nothing you find will help. Though it will end that horribel sense of uncertainty and dread that ties ou in knots day and night.

But really, nothing good will come of it. Ask him. And watch what he says and how he says it.

BrassMonk · 14/05/2014 21:58

If you think he knows that you want to know it, purposefully look away when he puts it in for a few days. He will relax a bit about it. Does he ever use it while sitting next to you on the sofa? I got 'd'p's passcode (and caught him cheating) by waiting till he went to put it in while sitting next to me on the sofa. I stretched so that both of my hands were straight up in the air. You can see past your arms to see what passcode he puts in, but he can't see where you are looking and gets sloppy about hiding his phone because he thinks you can't see.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 14/05/2014 22:19

Crispy sorry to hijack but can you please tell me the app you use? I am paranoid about losing my phone.

AmeliaAmelia · 14/05/2014 23:20

Thanks for all your replies...
I know I'm pathetic but need to have a good reas

OP posts:
AmeliaAmelia · 14/05/2014 23:23

on to leave... Without proof he will just say that I'm mental and leaving poor him heartbroken... His mobile is passcode free and the work mobile that he sometimes uses is never out from his bag. He doesnt use it at home so there is no way I can watch him type the passcode....

Sorry for double reply - crazy phone

OP posts:
sooperdooper · 14/05/2014 23:23

Why are you suspicious apart from him having a work phone with a pass code? My work phone has to have a pass code so I can get my work emails, if that's the only reason you're being paranoid

AmeliaAmelia · 14/05/2014 23:24

I never imagined him cheating on me...
He works a lot.... Never caught him lying... He doesn't really socialise...
When on earth he would be cheating?!

OP posts:
sooperdooper · 14/05/2014 23:25

Cross posts, why would he need to take his work phone out at home? That sounds reasonable to me, why else are you suspicious, is that it?

AmeliaAmelia · 14/05/2014 23:26

Things r not great between us, we dont have sex, he is using porn, googling strip clubs and ashleymadison....
I have no proof.
