Do you feel 'in love' with DH/P every day?

I love my OH very much, but sometimes I panic that I don't feel madly in love with him all the time. I appreciate him and wouldn't want to lose him, but am finding it difficult to figure out what long term relationships are really like, once the initial 'falling in love' bit is out the way.

I worry a lot about this and am unsure how to fix it - I don't want to force things if they're not right, but equally don't want to throw away something so good.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks

When DP came in this evening I realised, thanks to this thread, that he sniffs me as he gives me a cuddle when he comes back home at the end of his day at work...

We are coming up to 5 years married, 8 years together. 2 kids.

My feelings vary, as previous posters have said.

But I always look to him. When I'm happy I want to share it with him, when I'm sad I want him to make me feel better. I still genuinely want to share my life with him.

maybe all the pollution in Paris is affecting his sinuses, Bonsoir?

Maybe he is checking what you've been cooking for dinner, Bonsoir Wink

Mine can be quite an arse on occasion and has had major issues with depression. But we share the love each day, and have great moments where we catch each other's eye about something and laugh. And he does his fair share of everything without being asked and always did. I loved it when dd was new born and he came home and took over and brought me a G&T in the bath. I can't imagine being with anyone else except Enrique Iglesias

I think humans are driven by primitive urges much more than we generally want to admit Smile.

I have noticed, having read this thread, that my children sniff me when they cuddle me. They rub my face with theirs and have a big sniff. This does often lead me to being liberally coated with snot (they are only little) but I suppose you have to take the rough with the smooth :)

Aye, the thread that keeps on giving. Grin

When my dog meets another dog in the park, they sniff each others' bottoms ...
