OP posts:
WhateverTrevor83 · 05/03/2014 14:01

Know a huge amount about harassment also - i merely pointed out that police would not likely drop everything to go to OW's house to tell her off based on a few messages. Not that it wasn't illegal, just not a priority.

Now she has said 'I'd coming' etc and has a key - it's different (sadly).

Again, priority is OP. Not complaining legal exp!

WhateverTrevor83 · 05/03/2014 14:02

Comparing

TheOrchardKeeper · 05/03/2014 14:08

Yeah, it's just the tip of the iceberg and you will never know the whole truth. He's sorry he got caught.

You're doing amazing and you sound amazing. Keep your head up Thanks

Figster · 05/03/2014 14:14

He left his wedding ring at her house? Shock
Disgusting!!

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 05/03/2014 14:20

Just read your updates OP, the damage your selfish H has done is unbelievable, sorry to hear the ripples keep going.

BuzzardBird · 05/03/2014 14:22

Oh dear OP, you sound like you could do so much better. I doubt she was the first, just the first one to drop him in it.

Hope the Police sort that deranged bint out for you.

gateauauxfruits · 05/03/2014 14:41

11.37 "But this isn't a crime. Sorry, but it isn't."

12.46 "to clarify, was saying that is isn't a crime that the police would do anything about. That's what I meant."

LOL

tribpot · 05/03/2014 14:53

My god, OP. He left his keys, wedding ring and driving licence at her house? Who the fuck does that?

You need some time apart from him, but I now think you should not stay in the house on your own whilst the OW is making such specific threats. I don't understand how she can have details of a family member to harrass them? Why haven't you blocked her yet? If it's a question of 'giving her enough rope to hang herself' I really wouldn't play that game.

Please get the locks changed, as soon as possible.

And please ignore this 'begging on his knees' malarkey. He shagged her twice (that you know of). So this wasn't a moment of madness, or something he instantly regretted.

Please look after yourself, first and foremost. You need a safe place to be right now, away from all this.

memyselfandl · 05/03/2014 15:06

A drunken shag you could almost understand. I DID SAY ALMOST however he went back for a repeat performance at least once than you know of. He removed his ring as it it wasn't visible he wouldn't feel guilty - so he knew full well what he was xxx king.
For that reason alone l would say you are well rid dump the bastard

memyselfandl · 05/03/2014 15:07

Not saying l would forgive a drunken shag either by the way

WhateverTrevor83 · 05/03/2014 15:41

Well done gateau the situation got worse and now OP did get a fast response from the police....

Hmm

In my line of work the police immediately dismiss complaints RE 'nasty' FB comments. Fact. 'LOL' all you want. The OP only rang the cops because the situation got worse.... Quite rightly (and sadly)

SoleSource · 05/03/2014 15:58

Ditch the lying, cheating, scumbags.

handfulofcottonbuds · 05/03/2014 17:12

Oh Humbug, this is terrible that he has brought this to your door and in the process put you and your family in potential danger. I really feel for you.

I'm glad the police will be visiting. You have done exactly the right things so far and come across as very strong. This is probably adrenaline and you kicking into survival mode, you do need loved ones around you. Are you still at your friend's?

I think he needs to give you a total break until you have time to digest what has happened. The tears from him most likely tug at your heart strings, after all, you don't just instantly stop loving someone. But - the best thing he can do now is to give you time and not cry his tears begging for forgiveness.

The damage has been done and there are threats now so you need to stay strong as you can and draw on the support round you to help you.

perfectstorm · 05/03/2014 17:20

I have to say, if he really does love anyone but himself then he'll prove it by backing off, giving you space, and recognising that it is what you want and need that matters right now, not what he wants to happen or how his choices affect him.

I do think visiting someone is a good idea. Gets you away from either of their selfish dramatics, gives you some emotional and practical support, and gives you headspace to work out how you feel and what you want to happen next.

handfulofcottonbuds · 05/03/2014 17:24

By the way, I hope you've managed to eat a little today.

Fairenuff · 05/03/2014 18:00

he is literally on his knees begging to sort this out

This is good. This means that you get to call the shots and he shows that he will do 'anything' to make it up to you.

So, ask him for one thing and one thing only. To prove that he is genuine.

Ask him to leave. Leave the house and stay away from you so that you can have some time to think. No phone calls, texts, emails. Just space.

Ask him for that and see if he will do it.

Usually they don't. Because when they say they will do anything, they mean anything that does not inconvenience them too much and anything that doesn't alienate them too much.

Tell him to leave you alone. And then see what he's made of.

If he is really sorry, he will give you that.

Logg1e · 05/03/2014 18:00

I think it's time for him to leave the family home and you to return and change the locks ASAP.

FabBakerGirl · 05/03/2014 18:10

Sending you strength. What a pathetic man.

Humbug, look after yourself.

WhateverTrevor83 · 05/03/2014 18:22

Agree with Loggle - we're all thinking of you Thanks

CaptainHindsight · 05/03/2014 18:58

I have a bit of a MN crush on the OP tbh. She is bloody marvellous.

EasyCompadre · 05/03/2014 20:22

Look after yourself humbug, we're all here with you. You're doing so well, amazing lady!

WhateverTrevor83 · 05/03/2014 20:35

Ha Captain 'MN crush' I love that Grin
Really hope when the dust settles for all involved OP can get some time and space to think.

Still can't get over the wedding ring being left there... It's turned my stomach tbh.

JupiterGentlefly · 05/03/2014 20:38

oh

WhateverTrevor83 · 05/03/2014 21:27

OP how did OW get your number to text you? Confused
Or do you mean DH has blocked her texts?

Christmascandles · 05/03/2014 21:32

Hi OP, just popped in to see how you are... Developments happening I see....

I think for the amount of fuss she is kicking up I think he has been economical with the truth re how long this has been going on etc.

Oh and no one is laughing at you, we all think you're amazing for a start Grin

Did the police call round..? Thinking of you Wine
