On a dating site IM thing. It was really rather fun! He was very articulate and wrote ever so well (sexy but not smutty)....and did most of the typing :) as he knew I'd never done it before.

He gave me his phone number because he wanted to chat on the phone and swap photos (I didn't feel comfortable with that and obviously didn't give him my number). However afterwards he said he'd like to meet up in RL and for me to text him if I felt the same. It was a really sexy experience but I'm really in two minds for meeting up .....although his photo is quite nice. I'm single.

Quintezilla.....not sure what he would have got out of cutting and pasting tbh. He wrote that stuff as much to turn him on as me.....cutting and pasting is not really gonna get him off, I wouldn't think.

Worraliberty....to be fair, I don't think you get how it works. The text he was writing was in context....and anyway why, why, why would a guy cut and paste sexy chat? There would be nothing in it for him at all. That is so funny that you think that would actually be possible or that a guy would sit there cutting and pasting for an hour just for the remote possibility of possibly getting a number to possibly meet up, to possibly hit it off, to possibly lead to a shag. Nah I don't think so really.

There are many men that do the whole dirty c&p thing. I remember one guy doing it to me (I was chuckling away, wasn't a turn on at all) then, a few months later, having forgotten he'd done it to me before, messaged again with EXACTLY the same dirty talk.

It happens and this guy no doubts does it all the time, especially during the small hours. As long as you enjoyed it, where is the harm

Really Hairy? That surprises me. Rather him than me......what would he possibly get out of it? Very odd behaviour. Oh well at least it floated my boat. And no I don't think it was cut and paste, it was in context to my suggestions and well ffs, I'm pretty astute.....you can just TELL! (maybe you had to be there!) Well done you Hairy for remembering EXACTLY the same text a few months down the line....thats one impressive memory!!! So how do you know that there are 'many' men that do the C&P thing...I'm intrigued as to how you have that insight?

I was OD'ing on and off for 3 years. I also have a good memory, especially when it comes to the very rare reading for filthy text. I read academic things mainly, so my ability to remember filth is not that surprising, as I'm sure most folk here don't read much filth so it kinda 'sticks' when one does.

He may well have no been c&p'ing but don't be naive in thinking many men and women don't get their kicks from reeling off the same shite to get the other wanking, different strokes for different folks, I mean, I wouldn't come onto MN saying I'd wanked over some text from a random dude.

Each to their own, but keep that wanking hand well oiled, as online dating presents many a filthy writing lovely in the wee hours

Oh dear you really are new to it all if you don't understand what's in it for a man to copy and paste a load of text.

What the gets out of it is phone sex chat and a meet up at the end of the week...without having to 'get into' a conversation with you only to find you might not want the same thing.

I'm not saying this is true for this particular man, but it's not unheard of for this to happen. Sometimes they have 2 or 3 boxes open...talking to 2 or 3 different women...hence the need to copy and paste while the women get turned on.

Kind of like virtual plate spinning if you will

I've had mates who have said the same as Hairy...that they've either received the same text a few months later, or the guy has got his chat boxes mixed up.

You do have to be really careful with internet dating. Ther are definitely some sharks out there. I wasted my time conversing with someone who invented an entire profile - nice photo, said he was an architect, phoned me and so on. He turned out not to exist. At least...whoever was behind the lie was obviously someone completely different. I soon figured out he was not real. Then a month later an identical profile popped up again, this time with a different photo.

The rest of the time the people I 'attracted' were either married or in a relationship or were a couple asking me to be the extra toy in their threesome. I soon gave up on internet dating haha.

It certainly can work for some people though if you're lucky. Just don't be too trusting.

Yep had my fair share of knobheads and got burnt too.....I'm getting savvyer. This guy last night didn't tell me what he did at all...it didnt come up in conversation but I googled his phone number......he is self employed with a very professional job. He has no idea that I know his full name, company name, address.....isn't the internet wonderful?
