Feeling invisible .....wave at a mate!

Reprint · 22/10/2013 20:31

Following on from Trish's good idea (and by request) this thread is the place to play 'bag a buddy' 'wave at a mate' or 'grab someone else's grip for a minute'

The original idea from the invisble thread was that it would be a brilliant idea if people had a friend they could pair up with ....just so someone is going to wave at you when you feel down.
It needed a thread.
This is it .....................

< waves groggily>
Morning all.

Sorry I abandoned things last night.
Had some very unexpected news about someone in the family, and was then doing RL support.
Chatted until very late, so feeling decidedly less than bouncy this morning

Today will probably need tea by direct infusion.

Reprint · 25/10/2013 08:23

trish I am not good in the mornings, despite the fact that I now wake up early. Its a 'don't prod the tiger' mood until the third tea!

Hi BOO - thank you for proffering the necessary 3rd cup!

Am getting a bit jittery about the storm warnings now. The house is fine, but there is a tree which worries me a bit.

I've been suffering RealLifeInterruptus. Gah. No time to catch up now, but will be back later.

HaroldLloyd · 25/10/2013 10:01

Storm warnings? Is that localised to you Reprint?

Such depressing weather!

I am on gone fourth day of being at home with a snotty toddler, I am intending to do a lot of MNing today to keep me sane.

HaroldLloyd · 25/10/2013 10:01

Great news about the badness hump.

Hope you can banish it all!

HaroldLloyd · 25/10/2013 10:02

Oh and I am sympathetic to your hangover Hester but a bit jealous of how you got there!

PerpendicularVincentPrice · 25/10/2013 10:03

Morning all! The baby is currently chewing my left hand. I'm not sure why.

Reprint, are you ok? Have another Brew and some crumpets with nutella. I hope today is a better day Smile.

Humpday sounds promising, do you want some crumpets as well as coffee?

Reprint · 25/10/2013 10:08

Hump, weather warnings have been on most news again today ....expected major event over the south on Monday. There were reports that it could rival the '87 hurricane, but apparently no-one is quite sure if it will centre on the UK or lower down, over France.
Any which way we have an amber alert for flooding. I am sure Hester mentioned it yesterday. We do seem to do "wet" in this end of the country.

Thanks for concerns everyone. Actually not a major problem for me, just that I am the leaning post for someone who is directly affected. Its all about tea & sympathy today ....so am now off until later this evening, and expect to come back positively afloat with tea!

morning all!

Can I just have a moment?

TODAY IS PAYDAY!

Well, that was fun Grin

trish5000 · 25/10/2013 11:38

Bunraku and any new joiners. Though you seem to be bedding in nicely already.

I have a horror of someone being missed out on the invisible thread. How awful would that be.

So just in case, is anyone feeling missed out on here or feeling overlooked? Would truly hate for that to happen.

And just for the record, my computer[old], slows up on long threads, so I may well appear more talkative at the beginning of any, than at the end.
