Feeling invisible .....wave at a mate!

Reprint · 22/10/2013 20:31

Following on from Trish's good idea (and by request) this thread is the place to play 'bag a buddy' 'wave at a mate' or 'grab someone else's grip for a minute'

The original idea from the invisble thread was that it would be a brilliant idea if people had a friend they could pair up with ....just so someone is going to wave at you when you feel down.
It needed a thread.
This is it .....................

NOW I know why you held back on starting the thread !!
Think we do need a waving chat thread, but also wondered if this one should run as far as it can first, as people who are worried about posting or feeling invisible may have all the usual worries about posting on a new chat thread?
All thoughts welcome from everyone.....this thread doesn't 'belong' to anyone (other than happy wavers)

Thank you! I never name change because I'm too lazy

2tiredtoScare · 23/10/2013 08:53

Now ginslinger, what's your favourite Gin? Lets see if we are compatible

Grennie · 23/10/2013 08:55

Patience, if you havn't got a buddy, I will be yours.

Reprint · 23/10/2013 08:55

have you found your buddies now?
Looks as though you & Twick have started with a perfect match on timings Smile

Aw gawd, sorry, didn't mean to sound at all critical. Was a commentary on my inept dippiness than anything else. Hangs head.

ginslinger · 23/10/2013 08:58

anything with gin in it!
Seriously, I prefer Tanqueray No10 and I like a Hendricks too. The worst gin I had was something someone brought over from Waitrose made by Heston Blumenthal and was earl grey - it tasted like cat pee

ginslinger · 23/10/2013 09:00

Right now I need to go and attend to real life matters. Vet and dentist.

2tiredtoScare · 23/10/2013 09:01

I had a nice imported one on Friday, think it was called Millers or something. I like most too but not really Gordon's

Reprint · 23/10/2013 09:02

Just reading back over posts ..... Marguerite ...... I am sorry we had all gone to bed when you waved Sad
Please come back! even a small cough should do it, now we are all awake!

Kikithecat · 23/10/2013 09:06

Can I have a buddy please? A fellow gimmer would be nice?

Reprint · 23/10/2013 09:06

Uncomfort ....I didn't mean to sound criticised Blush and you didn't sound critical. It was a bit haphazard, as a concept ..... but then I hate spreadsheet thinking when I have to do it, so was never likely to volunteer for anything that organised Grin
I actually quite like the relaxedness of it ..... just hope no-one ends up feeling left out.

perp did you have a good night with the baby?

Anna - drooling at the idea of your tiny tiny. I am such a sucker for new babies!

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 23/10/2013 09:10

Kikithecat I'm a gimmer too (49 and recovering from hysterectomy - half blind without glasses - oh the joy!)

I've already got buddies but I'll be yours too

Reprint · 23/10/2013 09:11

..... have no doubt another new waver will be along in a sec, but would be happy to wave with you. Haven't set foot in a gym for decades, though, so it might be a good idea to wait a bit. Have some Brew in the meantime!

OP posts:
Kikithecat · 23/10/2013 09:13

Oh thanks Lets (may I call you that?), you sound perfect. And not only I now have a buddy, but a popular one too!
I am often to be found on Chat, Relationships, S & B (though I don't have any), and sometimes Arts & Crafts and AIBU (only when feeling VERY brave). You?

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 23/10/2013 09:14

Really lols at gimmer gym-er confusion.Grin

If your a gym-er, you'll be better off with someone else Kiki (see above for reasons)

Kikithecat · 23/10/2013 09:15

Thanks Reprint I accept your Brew and return your wave.

Kikithecat · 23/10/2013 09:17

No no no!! Definitely gimmer, not gym-er, I was a bit confused by Reprint's reference so thanksfor clearing that up. Old gimmer (51).

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 23/10/2013 09:18

Chat, General Health - hysterectomy support thread, Relationships when feeling v brave, AIBU and v occcasionally S+B. Might have to look at crafts as The Sewing Bee inspired me to start sewing again after all these years.
V proud that DS3 Yr8 came home from school beaming - Mum I was the only one in DT who was confident to use the machine on my own Grin
