Feeling invisible .....wave at a mate!

Following on from Trish's good idea (and by request) this thread is the place to play 'bag a buddy' 'wave at a mate' or 'grab someone else's grip for a minute'

The original idea from the invisble thread was that it would be a brilliant idea if people had a friend they could pair up with ....just so someone is going to wave at you when you feel down.
It needed a thread.
This is it .....................

UncomfortablyDumb Grin

Not exactly no!

I couldnt see the idea completely in my head, but never mind. So long as the group has 2 or more people in it, I dont think it matters.

Am wondering whether there may need to be a waves and talks and chats group, and another thread at some point for new joiners. We shall see. Very happy to see how it all evolves. I dont want to be head honcho particularly. Reprint or anyone can do what they like with it.

Think I will wave again at Reprint

hudyerwheesht · 23/10/2013 08:28

Yay, thanks Belisima. Smile

(Does a little I-have-a-buddy dance)

TwickOrTweasels · 23/10/2013 08:37

Oh I missed all the invisibility and waving. Hope I'm not too late.

Waves to everyone invisible and visible I see you all and offer Brew Cake and unintelligent conversation.

Happy birthday Hudyer CakeWine

Reprint · 23/10/2013 08:42

and hello to everyone who arrived this morning. Hopefully you have all found someone to wave with?

Uncomfort (I just can't use 'dumb'. Tried. Failed Smile ) I hold my hand up to this not being a perfect matching system - but Trish had a great idea which deserved to me actioned, and I don't do my best forward thinking in the middle of the evening with one eye on 'Bake Off' Blush
I hope the principle is working and that everyone is finding someone?

Trish's idea is to pair up, so everyone who wants one will have a wave-buddy.
Just to reiterate, this is the loose way that its supposed to work ...for anyone coming in at this point:
On arrival, your your buddies will be the person who arrived immediately before you and the person who arrives immediately after you We are also waving randomly, and chatting on the side so you may need to scroll down to spot the previous new arrival ...but you shouldn't have to go far ....or wait too long for the next person.
If you can't see some one free .....just post a new wave anyway. this is a nice thread and someone will buddy up or point you at another new arrival.

  • -There is no limit to the people you can buddy with, as long as you play fair and do buddy with the people 'next' to you so no-one feels invisible
    • it is useful to send a PM, to connect directly with a new friend -just to say hello and share a couple of bits of info (such as where you usually lurk)

With apologies for any muddles ..... Cake
