Number of partners

I put a question up on one of the other forums and one of the things that struck me was the range of numbers people said they had previously been with. This isnt meant to be a thread for judgements or arguments, but I was wondering what people's number of sexual partners is. And whether your OH knows this. If you read my other thread you will know why I am asking.

Regarding surveys, I was once surveyed on this matter at work by a freelancer writing an article (worked for a paper). Stupidly I told her the truth and she spread it round the whole office! I complained to the head of department and he said "well you'd only be bothered if it was one or loads, so which is it?"

So now I know why people lie on sex surveys....

I think as long as its consensual, safe and you're happy about it who cares what the number is.

Yes a good few are one night stands, regrets etc. I also wish I hadn't lost my V Card at 14 but there you go.

I don't think you are any less or more of a person for having more or less sexual partners. I do think if they are one night stands or other with alcohol when you know you shouldn't have slept with that person, yeah you can allow yourself some regret (if need be) but don't beat yourself up over it.

Men don't bat an eyelid at the number of sexual partners they have had do they?! ;-)
