I am now randomly clicking on user names and no-one has profile pics.

I look like tiny fey.

DadfromUncle · 05/08/2013 23:08

eek never thought of looking for pics on here.....

Snapespeare · 05/08/2013 23:10

kin has awesome shoes tho'...

lurkinglorna · 05/08/2013 23:12

I'll put one up, but only tonight.....lets see...

DadfromUncle · 05/08/2013 23:14

grinchie Thanks for pics feedback - loved the idea of a sophisticated meal at local gastropub getting smashed and using shopping trolley taxi - made me laugh anyway.

JoAlone · 05/08/2013 23:14

BillMason we have all already had the 'potato' talk, and it is widely believed throughout this thread that we are not indeed in that category. However, yes, I am very intrigued, especially as I am not on the dating site and I think most of the other women on this thread are having a lot of traffic, so, can only assume they are all sizzling. The one thing we do know, is that at least 76% of the women here are under 5ft3 (Apart from myself and 2 other posters (sorry, really bad with names)

DadfromUncle · 05/08/2013 23:15

Snape Bugger whether you look like Tina Fey, if you can write like her, may I be your agent?

lurkinglorna · 05/08/2013 23:15

i'm on, can look for 2 hours then i'm taking it down.

BillMasen · 05/08/2013 23:16

It's back snape

For a bit anyway...

BillMasen · 05/08/2013 23:21

snape think its just you and me daft enough to go public!

Moanranger · 05/08/2013 23:23

Bant Mermaid's effusiveness is the California default, although she is maybe on the extreme end. I should know. Prefer the British understatement myself. All that relentless enthusiasm can be exhausting Smile

JoAlone · 05/08/2013 23:25

How do you look at peoples photo's? am just getting the hang of MN, not really done a profile, will try to add a pic. Have added some of you as friends, hope that is the way to do it. If not, slap on the wrist for me.

BillMasen · 05/08/2013 23:29

jo I think you click on their name (twice!) and it brings up their profile. Then on their pics. I'm on a phone so may differ on a pc

DadfromUncle · 05/08/2013 23:32

Off to bed - thanks all for a fun evening - I am seriously considering not renewing my TV licence.

48howdidthathappen · 05/08/2013 23:33

Have had a nosey DFU

I don't have any pics any where, really dislike seeing myself in a photo.

Hamwidgeandcheps · 05/08/2013 23:40

Too many travel pics are a bit gap yah for my liking. Especially of there is text yanking on about how much travel he does. If I get messaged by a bloke like that I always think I have to be competitively interesting and exotic!

Selfies in a loo with a wedding ring????? Seriously? God

I actually wrote on my last match profile that I didn't like staying in. That's not entirely true but I don't want to meet a bloke who just wants to come around and veg out. I can do that on my own!

lurkinglorna · 05/08/2013 23:52

I think maybe its an age thing with the photos, too?

My age Hmm I'm looking for guys who've probably led the kind of lives where they weren't actually in loads of "party/going out/climbing Kilimanjaro" snaps. Ex was very personable in person, tall, fit, etc, well travelled, "done" a lot, but for his profile had 3 slightly bad/out of focus ones of his face, one of which was at a family wedding. He's had the same unflattering Facebook pic probably for the last five years.

We're in the "digital camera/Iphone" age now , so I suppose if you're dating in that "young 20's" market it's more "the norm" to have loads of shots of yourself . Whereas the same thing for a mid thirties upwards guy I'd think "attention whore or party animal or trying to hard to be cool".

(been chatting with a few guys online with AMAZING shots of themselves, and they are as dull as fuck Hmm)

Djangounhinged · 05/08/2013 23:58

I don't have a problem with selfies as profile pics at all - I only have one pic on my OD profiles and it is a selfie (you have so much more control over the outcome!).

DFU I saw your selfie in the kitchen and I did think, "Nice kitchen!" and that's good.... However I never find myself thinking anything like "Oh they have those whizzy Dyson hand driers in the place where he works".

Didn't shame the wedding ring guy, got tangled up with a bloke who messaged me to say "hi sexy", I know I should have ignored but I had had wine... "Well I was only being truthful, guys don't get a chance on here, you think we're all sex crazed idiots". I ignored him after that.

Night, thread!

Hamwidgeandcheps · 06/08/2013 00:00

The photos where they have cropped off a gf amuse me though. No harm in it just funny Grin

JoAlone · 06/08/2013 00:03

I tried to upload a photo to my MN profile, no luck, but my technical ability is well, not very 'able'

lurkinglorna · 06/08/2013 00:03

night d Smile

lurkinglorna · 06/08/2013 00:04

it's worse when they leave them in hamwidge Grin

or even worse LOTS of pictures with attractive women Confused am i meant to be drawing a conclusion here?

Hamwidgeandcheps · 06/08/2013 00:10

Lorna - it's sort of the same thing though the 'Gosh arnt I just fabulous and jet setting. Look at my fans!' I don't want to date that guy Hmm

lurkinglorna · 06/08/2013 00:12

Grin hamwidge and of course if you meet, he's probably as dull as fuck. BUT HE LOOKS GOOD IN PHOTOS.

lurkinglorna · 06/08/2013 00:13

someone I'm chatting with on POF has just passed on the information he is lying in bed as he types.

chances he wants sex conversation? Hmm
