See I'm quite a fan of pics that show a man is well travelled... Better than a couple of selfies taken in their place of work's toilets....

Lorna that's shite, how dare he Angry

Even I have had a couple of new leads today! The very good looking but possibly Neanderthal, the handsome postie (not sure about him now, think he is just being polite in keeping a conversation going, doesn't seem in any hurry to set up a meet), and someone who wrote many lovely things about me and sounds lovely himself, but (a) I don't fancy him at all and (b) he is too far away. Might break my policy of ignoring though, and send him a message along the lines of reason (b).

Ooh tell me too DFU just cos I'm a nosy caaaah.

I don't like the action photos because a) I'm not at all sporty and the photos make me think they're looking for someone also into windsurfing/mountain biking or whatever and b) I'm not particularly flush and have my dc 24/7 and the photos make me think they're looking for someone who can spend three weeks trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas at the drop of a hat.

Seem to have told Alpha I'm going to annihilate him at pool. Only fly in the ointment is I've not played for something getting too close to a decade for comfort. Please tell me this is one of the things you don't forget how to do ...

Jo- DFU asked for some advice on his profile (its not a thread compulsory thing for everyone - I'm happy with my OD profile, it's more the "follow up" stuff I feel I need handholding on!) so some of us had a look and offered advice on how to improve it from the "women's side". He may show you if you want to offer pointers too Smile

OWW That's why I was wondering about pics. I am not at all sporty but although I've done 15+ years skiing etc I can't really go anymore until my daughter's a bit older (and I am a bit more flush) so I don't want someone rocking up with their windsurfing gear either.
BTW at least three profiles I've read are women planning on getting a camper van - having had one of those VW ones in the past I can say they aren't all they are cracked up to be and they are hideously expensive these days.

I think I "needed" selfies in the sense that I wanted to put an accurate full length pic of my body (not naked Hmm) but hadn't really had a recent social occasion and if I'm out with friends we don't really take photos of each other we're not that young and cool. They're fairly tasteful I think.

Jo , Lorna I think I forgot to PM 48 my POF name - I have done it now. I did have to amend Lornas "I have been amicably divorced for x years and have 5 YO ....." as I divorced after 10 years married no kids, met (but didn't marry) mother of DC and have split up with her since .....so although I am amicably divorced, it's not from mother of DC.

Bill I do know what 2 posters on here look like and they are blimmin gorgeous in highly different ways. But I probably shouldn't say that. I didn't have a picture in my head (and don't for the majority I've not set eyes on).
