Ike you're not a bully Confused you're a star. Ignore and carry on regardless!

Martini it's a real bummer but no point even thinking about why. I'm not really one for long distance but I know there are a fair few others here who can advise here. Bant will be the sexi peacock, of course ... Grin

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 17:32

i think you will find name calling and goading and taking the piss IS bullying.

I havent said anything bad to nor about anyone. I have made no personal attacks, when ike has just made several towards me.

IT IS BULLYING.
and its also un necessary

martini - long distance can be a bit difficult, its up to you, but i would never advise hotel stays until you know someone, not only because its an expensive way to waste money if they turn out to be not what you expect. 2 hours isnt that far, its doable in a day... how about lunch?

Bant · 15/06/2013 17:35

Watch, the problem is, last time you were on the thread you whipped up a whirlwind of self justified self pity, then sent some shockingly offensive messages to other people.

Other people aren't just willing to forgive and act as if nothing happened because you made personal attacks on people and now you're saying other people did the same, when they didn't.

Your point about velvet was well made, and I understand why you made it. Everyone is free to post on the threads, but if they repeatedly upset other people, surely you can see why they don't want to engage with you?

I'm not going to suggest you leave the thread, as I said its open to all- but you're not going to get much more than sarky comments and being ignored by some people until you've apologised for upsetting people before.

I always thought you made intelligent contributions and have missed your input, even given the fact we piss each other off at times, but I'm not going to respond to you again until you've made up in some way to the people you attacked. I don't include me in that group.

I'll look at your profile as requested :) but I can't think of many improvements- it's good. You could capitalise your I's of course.

pornstarmartini · 15/06/2013 17:38

watch I might suggest lunch. I'll have to be brave and drive.

(I'm avoiding the issues of previous posts as I wasn't around then)

OhWesternWind · 15/06/2013 17:38

Yes, you have, Watch. You can backtrack and pretend innocence, but it's patently obvious what you are up to. Again.

Now I've broken my own rule and replied, but I'm fed up of seeing this behaviour towards people on this thread that I count as friends.

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 17:40

bant - to be fair, you admitted to baiting me, and there was an awful lot of shit thrown in my direction, lots of personal attacks sent my way too.... most of the time i just defended myself... one day i snapped and replied with the sort of things i had been getting posted to me, and suddenly it was unacceptable.

if an appology is warranted, then its warranted in both directions.

Im not full of self pity.... im not quite sure where that has come from.

most people are happy to engage with me, its only a few on here that wont/ dont

i could of course dot my i's. but then i wouldnt be me, would i :)

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 17:43

western, what are you ON about, what on earth do you think im trying to do??

i think you are reading stuff that just is NOT there?

what behaviour towards people you count as friends??? if you can point out quite where i have gone wrong today, please do so. but looking back over my posts i have done NOTHING wrong, i have done nothing to any friend of yours and i havent singled out a single person, other than telling ike shes being mean.

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 17:45

martini - driving is good, or else lunch somewhere half way is a good idea?

you never know till you meet, most dates ( think bant said 97% and i do agree with that) will be dud. You dont want to be out of pocket and time for a guy that isnt your cup of tea.

now, yes, i PM'ed someone. i said how i understood she was having a difficult time, and that having been in a similar postiion i wouldnt wish it on anyone and how with that info i could maybe understand her constant attacks one me and instistance that i needed help.
and that i wished her well.

or words to that effect. it was nothing more..

because i have been in an abusive marriage, and i can understand what its like, and so i can understand why, me, who was happily shagging no strings at the time, would cause anger in someone whos husband was caught on dating sites.....

( having had a husband that did the same, i once felt the same)

It was a PM of understanding, and wanting to move on, not what it was made out to be.

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 17:58

ike, you are being really out of order. I NEVER posted anything like that to anyone. not during the most heated of argument. i never name called, i might have argued back, but i never called names.

Ive reported your posts to mn.

This is not warranted, its just not.

It does sound very awkward with the Beard fella Ike :(
I've totally lost my dating mojo!

KinNora · 15/06/2013 18:01

I'm with Ike and OWW, neither of whom have been anything other than reasonable, balanced and intelligent posters and who certainly have never bullied anyone.

Other than that, I'm not engaging as it's a hiding to nothing.

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 18:03

msw - i havent made it about me. Its others posting shit and talking about me thats made it about me right at this second.

Im not deluded and i dont post drivel, but cheers muchly for your input
Hmm

Been lurking for the last two weeks, having left and namechanged a while back. This was a lovely thread and then Watch sent what was an unforgiveable PM to Rose and then proceeded to be vitriolic on the main thread when people defended. Eventually, she left and the thread was blissful.

Sorry, Watch, you will never get agreement from those of us who were around when you behaved so rudely. You will never accept that you were in the wrong, as you rarely did when you were on the thread previously and regularly crossed swords with people.

mercury7 · 15/06/2013 18:07

lentils Rose? I have lentils about 5 nights a week :o

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 18:07

oh my goodness....!!!!

i find this so exasperating.

Im sorry, but when someone is calling someone names, it IS a personnal attack. I hadnt engaged with ike in any way, shes just come on and had a go, she could have worded what she wanted to say in a much more measured way, which would have been fine. Instead its name calling and swearing.

I posted a valid point, thats all i did. I wasnt intending on hanging around..... i dont have time in my life for arguing pointlessly, and until IKE chipped in, there wasnt actually any argument.

I would have left, but im not being called names and just walking away. because it isnt nice and it is wrong.

watchforthesnail · 15/06/2013 18:10

jessica - i might have crossed swords with SOME people not all. ive been on these dating threads since the very beginning, i didnt have any arguments what so ever till we got into the higher numbers. The thread had been blissful with me on it before, because im not an argumentative cow bag with a ton of ulterior motives as some people seem to have me pegged as.

jessica, sorry, but ive not seen you on any dating thread.... so, if you have lurked for so long, you will know what ive said to be true.

If you want to go back to the very begining and re read the threads, be my guest.

yes ike, measured, ive not gone off on one swearing and name calling as you have.
