15, so was he, had been boyfriend/girlfriend for two years, very natural progression, feel blessed, looking back. AND, it was lovely!

I had just turned 16. There had been opportunities before but I hadn't felt ready and decided to wait. A lot of my friends were earlier and there was quite a bit of pressure. Like a few others have said I made up for it after Blush

Pinkyorkbunny · 15/05/2013 09:52

16 to a twunt Blush

tumbletumble · 15/05/2013 09:56

I was 16, he was 17, we'd been together 6 months and stayed together for 2 years afterwards. It was lovely Smile

19, felt incredibly old to still be a virgin, but it was the time when I felt ready, and with somebody who I thought was worth it. There had been opportunities at 16 and 18 but I backed out as I wasn't ready or comfortable with those boys.

Scruffey · 15/05/2013 10:02

18

I agree with Rhubarb's post. And have the same background. I was in my 20s. And I have a daughter who is now 13 and sleeps with her teddies.

I encourage her to have male friends because she does not really get on with other girls that well and I know she is far more liked by boys, but if having male friends means having sex in the woods this summer, I would rather she didn't.

Is it really the case that most girls lose their virginity in their teens, particularly before they are 18? Or are there lots of other women out there too embarrassed to admit it was actually much later for them? I hope the latter is the case.

No offence intended to those who lost their virginity in their teens. I guess if the right man comes along, it will happen. It just sounds that for a lot of you, it wasn't with the right man.

  1. To my one and only. Now married to him :)

I'd just turned 14. Boyfriend was nearly 17. To be fair, we were together for nearly two years after that.

I don't regret it because it felt right, it was actually a very good relationship (for our ages), and it means that now at nearly 22 I have awesome sex Grin

Notafoodbabyanymore · 15/05/2013 11:47

26, on my wedding night.

Locketjuice · 15/05/2013 11:50

14Hmm

I was 20 because that's when I happened to meet someone I wanted to sleep with. Some of my friends more like 15/16 (15 age of consent in my country so not illegal). I think we each did was right for us, there was little pressure and no condemnation.
