19 and he was 23. Been going out for about 9 months. He was also a virgin. We went out together for 2 years. Only had 2 partners.

Primrose123 · 14/05/2013 13:16

17, and married to him now.

Accidentallyquirky · 14/05/2013 13:19

15 with him two years both each others firsts, after him another 1 year relationship but then I went very very 'erm' wild? Then had dd. then another wild spell before dh... To be fair I am glad I lost it when I did, he respected me unlike any of the other twunts (my own fault entirely) before I met dh

NewlywedUpTheDuff · 14/05/2013 13:22

17, was together 4 and half years

noisytoys · 14/05/2013 13:25
  1. Only had 2 partners though been with DD for 10 years now from 16 to nearly 26 Smile
noisytoys · 14/05/2013 13:26

Sorry DH not DD Grin

Busybusybust · 14/05/2013 13:30

19 - and I was with him until he died 24 years later!

Woodenpeg · 14/05/2013 13:30

14, to a 17 year old. I idolised him... still to this day, I think how amazing it was! I'm 37 now and although I was very young (too young, couple of months off 15) he was someone very special and we both couldn't help it. I knew him for years before (lived opposite). First lust I guess.

Only happened the once, he moved... still think about him every now and again with rose tinted specs!

Rhubarb I'm the same with my girls. I knew it wasn't going to happen without him using a condom, and we did. I knew that from my parents discussing it openly (sex education at school early, lots of teen pregnancies.)

I was very advanced, early periods, boobs etc...

MrsBungle · 14/05/2013 13:30

16 and 4 days! I'd been with my 18 year old boyfriend for 9 months and was ready before then but I wanted to wait until I was 16. I remember the 4 day but cause we had to wait until the Saturday night to be alone! Grin no regrets at all.

MrsHoarder · 14/05/2013 13:34

15 (just) to my 14 (nearly 15) yo bf. We've been together over a year. And it was definitely not coerced and I don't regret it at all. Was a good model for an equal, considerate relationship.

mouseymummy · 14/05/2013 13:35

I was 16 nearly 17. Was lovely. I don't regret anything about it tbh, not a lot of the people I know can say the same thing.

I know of at least 3 who lost their virginity early and non of them would say they were coerced but they all say they regret it and wish they had waited another couple of years.

I got pg with dd1 at 18 and had her when I was 19. I really don't want her to be teenage parent and so I've told her I was 25. She still hasn't worked out that I am 28 now so that's impossible (she's 9 and I've recently had dd2 and I'm pg again so these things have come up recently).

MrsHoarder · 14/05/2013 13:37

Oh and given feelings on sex before periods restarted post-birth,I think a girl who hadn't started yet will be less hormonally driven than I was.

The Teddies are a red herring. My teddy is on my bedside table now.

VeremyJyle · 14/05/2013 13:38

14 Blush kind of creeps me out knowing that most of my 'early' conquests were a lot older AngrySadAngry

THERhubarb · 14/05/2013 13:43

See I was a late starter. I didn't start periods until I was 16. I was very flat chested and looked so much younger than I really was. Whenever I went out I would attract attention from much older men who always tried to get their hands up my skirt or rub against me. Many would ask how old I was and if I had any sexual experience.

I was very immature for my age and a lot of the attention frightened me which is why I think I left it so long before I had sex.

I am very open with my dd and she's not as naive as I am, but still still plays with her 9yo brother. They play schools and shops and so on. I can't imagine her having sex!

nipersvest · 14/05/2013 13:45

18, although there had been a lot of fumbling about prior to doing the full on deed.

ChelseaKnows1 · 14/05/2013 13:51

Makes me sad thinking about it.

HorryIsUpduffed · 14/05/2013 13:57

Technically, 17.

Consensually, 20.

CherryMonster · 14/05/2013 14:05

15 and he was 17.

HorryIsUpduffed · 14/05/2013 14:19

To be honest, I can't see any brilliant reason for not waiting, really.

The number of people who say eg "I wasn't really ready even though I might have thought I was, but he would have split up with me if I hadn't" makes me really sad.

JsOtherHalf · 14/05/2013 14:37

22, to a 23 year old. We had been dating for months.

We were together for most of our 20's.

LadyBigtoes · 14/05/2013 14:42

16, he was 19 and it was the first time for us both and he was my first love. It was kind of rubbish, but due to incompetence :o not any pressure or anything to regret.

MrsHoarder · 14/05/2013 15:16

Horry I'm sorry about what happened to you.

The reason I'm glad I lost my virginity at 15 though is the abusive wanker I was with at 18, my head was a lot less turned by the sex because I knew he want all there was to life. Plus I have good memories with my first love.

Fwiw I think the law should make an exemption for young people within 2 years of age and both over 13. And with that exception a raising of the general age of consent to 18. Not that mature adults should be allowed anywhere near young teens.
