I am fed up with the cold weather and feel it more than my DH seems to. He is lovely, but does have a thing about me being always naked in bed. We have an electric blanket on my side which has to be turned off when you get in and does not last long. Plus a good duvet. But I am still always cold for a bit and he does not like me wearing pyjamas or a nightie, or even a vest top. Sulks and thinks what we have plus his hot body should be enough for me.
AIBU ?

What Daddyshambles said, this will turn into controlling every aspect of your life if you don't put a stop to it now.

Just put on whatever nightwear you want to and tell him if he's going to pout and sulk he can sleep in the nursery elsewhere until he grows up.

HelloBear · 26/03/2013 21:58

Surely EVERYONE where's pjs? God most nights both me and oh are in our PJs by 7 and have our tea in them, with added sexy fleece, slippers and various blankies. It's too bloody cold for anything else.

Seriously thou as everyone else have said (please take note of this fact....everyone!) this is not nice behaviour. Also my DH says he would fancy ne if I was in a bin liner, surely that is how it should be?

lovesherdogstoomuch · 26/03/2013 22:06

if i slept nakey i would be like a frozen fish. not attractive. keep warm and comfy OP. xx

DH would prefer me naked year round, day and night (except possibly in public), but accepts this is a fantasy as I am not a sex doll.

He did whinge about PJs the first winter we lived together, but that was because he really genuinely could not understand that I was actually cold - he is permanently baking hot. I demonstrated my chilliness extremely effectively (cold bare feet to the upper inner thigh Grin ).

Has never happened again Grin

VikingLady · 26/03/2013 22:18

Oh, and if it is really cold I don't even take them off to dtd! Just pull things up/down as appropriate!

winstonc · 28/03/2013 08:55

I suggest you both get matching onesies then he'll be happy if you just wear a T shirt (try www.funzee.co.uk)

notimefors · 28/03/2013 09:03

Nobody is in charge of when I am naked or otherwise but myself. I suggest you begin living with this patently sensible rule also.

sincitylover · 28/03/2013 11:34

I'm going to go against the grain here but the current pj culture is slightly baffling to me. One of my friends has been wearing them on the last two times I have visited her for Friday night drinks.

I agree that partners should not tell us what to wear at any time however I would find it a turn off if my p wore a full set of pjs or a onesie!

I sleep naked feel very warm every night and if I have to get up will grudgingly put on a nightshirt.

I don't like sleeping entwined but do like the feel of skin against skin.

We're all different tho and I don't share my bed with anyone at the moment Sad

I'm female as well in case you're wondering

sincitylover · 28/03/2013 11:37

And the idea of keeping nightie on whilst having sex !! Brings to mind 50s housewife going to bed in curlers and face cream

Not saying keeping some types of clothes on isn't good Wink

Sunnywithshowers · 28/03/2013 13:07

You are a grown woman and he doesn't own you. Wear what you like to bed and tell him to get stuffed if he complains.

I can't understand why he'd think your need for warmth is overridden by his desire for you to be naked under the duvet.
