Kin did I miss your birthday??????Was it yesterday??????HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY lovely girl!!!

Snapespeare · 29/03/2013 10:54

I had a big rant on fb about 'mutilated penisesesses' once and was very firmly put in my place by a gay friend who is circumcised and who had experienced a lot of judgement about his bits... It's obviously a very delicate subject (...) and should be treated as such...I guess the thing that annoys me most is that circumcision for religious reasons is based on a book written thousands of years ago aimed at cleanliness 'laws' appropriate for nomadic desert tribes and is inflicted on children who have no say in the matter. So if god made 'us' in his image, why add a foreskin and then demand it is removed Hmm I'm also a fan of evolution Grin

velvet shirtless rugby players you say? (Has mental image of velvet being carried shoulder-high around rugby club)

rainydays are you both into the same thing? (Nosey)

Snapespeare · 29/03/2013 10:55

48 sending best wishes for your lovely mum. Do hope she's home soon. :)

mercury7 · 29/03/2013 10:56

i'm with Snape on the circumcision..i'd be appalled if someone suggested that my private parts were unacceptable without surgery and i cant see any reason not to apply the same principle to men

Scrazy · 29/03/2013 10:57

It can be cultural as in I haven't met any men that are in the UK, but one or two on my travels and it wasn't for religious reasons. Maybe there was a problem as a child. I wasn't meaning to be flippant.

Velvet, have a lovely day at the rugby club. I wish I could drag myself off the sofa and get out socialising. DD is taking me out for lunch later but thing I've lost all sense of smell with this stupid cold so won't enjoy the food.

OhWesternWind · 29/03/2013 10:58

48 all you can do us hold on to the good stuff and keep trying to get her home. Sounds like things are nearly in place but it must be so frustrating for you (and your mum). I really hope it's soon.

Miranda another Envy at you.

Nora I think Mr Software has got it bad if he's on about hair sniffing. Classic sign. When are you seeing him?

WarmFuzzyFun · 29/03/2013 11:02

Let's start the day right Envy Envy Envy Envy EnvyMiranda come and get them, they are all yours Smile

I remember that feeling when 'he' returns after being away, it is fantastic.

Envy for good measure.

48howdidthathappen · 29/03/2013 11:08

Ah yes WFF The 3rd time I had sex with Mr R&R he had been away in Yorkshire for a week. The memory will stay with me forever Wink Grin

KinNora · 29/03/2013 11:10

Awwwww, Ike , thank you ( I was a right miserable old bag, you didn't miss much ).

48 you sound like a fantastic daughter, your mum's very lucky to have you. I will have my fingers firmly crossed for you.

Further to the circumcision debate, a very close relative of mine married into a culture where male circumcision is the norm and faced a lot of pressure to have her son operated upon, she's resisted the pressure and wants to give him the option to have it done when he's older, if that's what he wants.

I must say that as the mother of sons I would have found the prospect of them being put through that kind of procedure for non-medical reasons completely unacceptable.

Snapespeare · 29/03/2013 11:10

miranda

Have some of these Grin Grin Grin to go with the Envy

Grin
ohmyrainydays · 29/03/2013 11:21

I don't mind talking to him and meeting him still as long as he doesn't just talk about sex now. He said he was sorry if he took things too far last night and doesn't want me to think that all he wants is sex and that he wants more than that. We've been having a normal conversation this morning so hopefully he won't go the same way as the last one.

No Snape not the same interest's his is actually something. haven't come across before and i do have a bit of experience in all things kinky. As long as he's willing to try mine then I'll try his.

48howdidthathappen · 29/03/2013 11:29

Kin Mum was very wise having lots of children.

Some of the patients don't appear to have anyone Sad We make friends will all on the ward. They know when we are there we will help them with anything we can.

KinNora · 29/03/2013 11:33

OWW oh aye, I was a bit Hmm at the hair sniffing. I'm going out for lunch with Showbiz on Thursday and travelling to Software's home city for birthday cocktails and dancing on Friday.

daddyspence · 29/03/2013 11:35

had a lovely night with my son last night. The future ex mrs spence was out i presume with her new man but i dont really want to think about that. Ive got my work night out tonight so gonna make sure i get talking to plenty of people tonight will just be about getting some confidence up again

KinNora · 29/03/2013 11:38

48 I started training in 1987, elderly people who don't have anyone who cares for them is one of the things that always upsets me and always has done right from my student days. I feel very strongly about care of the elderly.

lubeybooby · 29/03/2013 11:43

Miranda Envy and :o

JulietteMontague · 29/03/2013 11:48

Miranda that's so lovely Grin

OWW it's tricky, if you don't dip your toes in the water you will still have LM in your head, and if you do you run the risk of unfortunate comparisons as it is all very recent. Still, if you give him a go you could find you've bagged another lurve god. It's all very recent, you are going to have wobbles but they will pass.

I am surprised male circumcision for anything other than medical reason is still legal in the UK. A very close friend recently asked me what I thought about circumcision for her baby if he was a boy as her DH is Jewish, cue reasonable discussion. 'They' then decided to do it, for the worst reason ever 'so he could look like his Dad'. That is mutilation Angry.

I think the medical 'reasons' for circumcision might sometimes be spurious, it was suggested by the GP and an A&E doctor also questioned why I hadn't had it done to DS done after a few episodes of infection as a 6 year old. We got it sorted with no surgery at all.

ohmyrainydays · 29/03/2013 12:01

My ex's father married a woman from the phillipines and had children with her. The eldest boy who was about ten at the time was telling us about his public circumcism when he was a young boy. It was horrific, having it cut off against a rock with a sharp knife. His mum said if they don't get it done they are thought of as dirty and would be outcast. By the time they came to the Uk the youngest boy hadn't had it done and she said it would have to be done before they went back. I'd rather it was done in ahospital over here with pain relief than over there with a knife in public. It would be better if it didn't have to happen in the first place.

OhWesternWind · 29/03/2013 12:09

Well looks like it will be short and sweet with MrV - he keeps sending rude texts, not potnographic but keeps going on about "getting naked" with me. I have asked him to calm things down but he's not listening. So I have texted to say it's not for me. Oh well, back online tonight, see if Mr Cake is around!

Can I hide MrV on PoF? How do you do it?

daddyspence · 29/03/2013 12:09

sorry to hear that western :(

hope you have some better luck

lubeybooby · 29/03/2013 12:15

OWW the block button is next to the messages when you open a message from them. Right hand side near the bottom of the message

Scrazy · 29/03/2013 12:16

If you have messages in your inbox from him you can block him Western. That would creep me out too, seeing as you weren't that sure about him. NEXT.

Scrazy · 29/03/2013 12:20

Meant to say see it as a compliment. He was obviously bowled over by your sexiness.

OhWesternWind · 29/03/2013 12:22

Well I suppose it's okay to do it once, some people might go for it, but I asked him to stop and he carried on. And I had to pull him up yesterday with suggestive talk before we'd even met. Even if I'd really, really, really fancied him I wouldn't have liked this sort of talk so soon and he was far too persistent.
