On my last post about a lack of friends, so many of you reached out with your own stories/ support/ advice. Several of you also said it would be great if we had our own thread where we can just meet up and have a chat and be virtual friends.
I apologise about the boring thread name - I couldn't think of anything cleverer! So this is me reaching out... Who wants to join me & be my virtual friend? X

Have just put kettle on too. Freezing here have just filled a hot water bottle and trying to keep it tucked in my jumper so a cuppa is welcome.

May I join as well? Being 'not the right sort of person' to fit in with any groups since I had my kids yonks ago... It seemed to all go downhill when I declared I got my youngest daughter off to sleep on AC/DC not Three Blind Mice... Mind, that was 15 years ago so I ought to stop taking offence now at the way everybody took a step backwards from me in the school yard that day, I don't think showing off my new Guitar and Snake tattoo helped at the time... hello

I am cleaning up debauchery today and eating left over birthday cake from above mentioned daughter's birthday yesterday.

Well, last night I discovered MN. I have found some of the stories on here truly heartbreaking, but also some very inspirational ones too. I sat up into the early hours of the morning and could not stop reading.
Subsequently I forgot to set my alarm, and when I stumbled out of bed at 8am my DS had got himself up, had breakfast and set off for school! (He is nearly 13 but still......) DS2 was sat eating breakfast, so I can confirm that MN has turned me into a slummy mummy overnight. Looking forward to getting to know some of you, letting the washing, ironing pile up and watching the iPad battery die.
(I can't get smilies to work? Anybody else on an iPad? I can see them but can't select them)

Ooh hello! May I join please? I do wearmakeup and i have the heating on to keep the cold from the house. Spring taunted us last week and now naughty winter is back with snow flurries and everything!

AC/DC lullaby sounds great! DS1 used to fall asleep to Ian Dury Grin
