I didn't find that at all with the prof.. Sex was fab, absolutely no emotional involvement at all well i thought i was in love with voldemort at the time it dwindled away, no idea when I last heard from him, not bothered, wish him well. Under 'normal' circumstances, yes sex hormones and emotions tangle up and if all is going well, it's lovely...but if there's doubt then it can get a bit out of balance...

scatty :). Thought you were being a bit....snappy as regards to your friend, but didn't say anything as you would have shouted at me! Glad you're feeling better today. :)

I've had two cinnamon raisin bagels (Saturday- carbs!) have fixed the bathroom light and got DS2 a new phone, watching question time just now, going to pop down to Waities in a bit to buy a bottle of Laphroaig (20% off!) and do my charity shop crawl... Then my oldest friend who I've known since I was 2 (!) is coming over for tea and Wine might pop out to the pub if DS1 is feeling ok, will try to avoid me and voldies local but why should I stop going places, just because he might be there? But I don't want to see him, especially with other folk around

we're all different of course, but if the sex is very good i crave more of it, i know it's lust and not love but i'd not have a take it or leave it attitude to the person.
Unless i had someone else on hand who provided an equally good service:o

We are having Indian snack selection with sweet chilli sauce and cucumber for lunch - longstanding children's favourite. Then popping into town, friends coming round later. Was going to start wallpapering but that has to be done in the right mood, so it's not happening today.

Yeah I agree it was the nadir of my dating career so far...put it this way I should not have gone - had failed an exam and went out of duty. I did explain to the guy afterwards...i just had to leave..

Dont worry I have sat through plenty of dates politing nodding until a reasonable time to leave...I guess this is why I wonder is it worth trecking over to Bristol when the vast majority of dates seem to be the polite nodding type

Well having outdone myself earlier in the week (if I do say so myself) with homemade fish pie and then lovely sticky chicken last night, today it's jacket potatoes for lunch, dropping DD at the first of two parties then taking DS and a friend bowling then probably pizza. I can't really afford the bowling or the pizza but i'm f*ing sick of sitting around the house doing nothing!

Indian food is lovely in the day.

Snape, of course you shouldn't stop going to your local places as long as its not too stomachly churning. I totally see what you are saying about my friend. I wouldn't have shouted at you Smile. Normally I am adverse to snapping but this week I've been dreadful. I nearly had a dig at an acquaintance the other night when she dropped food down her cleavage (I'm talking loads of food) and made a big scene of it so the men in our company could help her retrieve it. Normally I brush things like that aside. I dunno.

Yoga. Fab menu. I love bowling and I'm pretty good at it.

Ok, new self development rule to me from me. Less negativity, more sailing in the wind with heart on sleave a bit more.

Scatty I'm awful at bowling! I'm just going to leave the boys to it and man watch read my book.

Milk Yes enjoy. Although I really couldn't be doing with a 22 yo and can't and won't do ONS, at this point I wouldn't mind a casual/FWB type thing. I mean, I'd love to meet someone amazing who is going to gaze longingly into my soul for all eternity and all that...but I wouldn't say no to just a little fun, conversation & sex in the mean time. Too much to ask?

Excuse me while I bite my nails down to the elbows and sit in the corner rocking slightly - BC is trying to organise something special as we know before he fucks off to HK, this is his last week here, I have completely cleared my diary to be as flexible as possible because it's gonna be difficult for him to sort something with the distance and his last few days at work etc - and my mum has just sprung an appointment on me taking up waaaaay too much of Thursday for my liking. It's for my brother and is a family assessment as part of sorting out what level of ASD related care he needs at uni, what funding etc so is mega important. Whats the betting it's gonna turn out to be Thurs the only day BC can get down here? fuuuuuuuuuck fuck fuck. Have just text him in a slight panic... hold my hand...

Lubey it will not be thursday, it will not be thursday, it will not be thursday....

So messaged on of the guys on my list last night - the one who said Blazing Saddles was his favourite movie. So far the messages have gone like this:

Me: I always preferred History of the World. :)
Him: pardon?
Me: Sorry, you said your favourite movie was Blazing Saddles. I like History of the World, Part 1 (there never was a Part 2), also by Mel Brooks. Guessing you've never seen it then?
Him: no I haven't

Really? Is that the best there is?

Then came across this one Yorkshireman - looked good to start with but by halfway through his profile decided he sounded like a total twat. Listed the requirements for his "girlyfriend", discussion of personal hygiene (really, WTF is that about??), declaring he is "not a player"!! Urgh. Just shoot me now.

Yeah, I thought I'd overlook that one but it just got worse from there, didn't it! To be honest, I was intrigued because of his "Sleepy Hollow" pic, I grew up not far from the actual Sleepy Hollow and wondered if he'd been there.

I just got a message from another guy. the usual "hi hows u?" followed by two pics, 1)him riding a motorbike so he's got a helmet on, 2)a pic of just his bare torso. I'm very tempted to reply "'I'd talk to you but you don't appear to have a head. Shame" Grin

yoga seriously, the first gut feeling which makes us think Okay? Hmm is usually right, i think. All the explaining, excusing, coming up with fifity thousand reasons of why he could have said or could have done this or that etc. is what causes so much pain and chaos in the long run.

As usual I've read every message but not posted much. But I finally have something to report - a date with Mr Coffee (how I wish I'd given him a more original name) today. Cinema and then a meal. Feeling quite nervous. Hello to everyone, and especially to OWW - hope things start to improve for you.
