Ahaaa. I only get to go to posh places like that for work do's sadly (I'm in Spitalfields).

EiePie · 01/11/2012 16:13

I went out with a very rich chap for a few dates - on the 4th date he clearly would have liked his dog to join in the 'fun'! Obviously, no fifth date. Sheesh!

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 16:18

his dog?!? I'm really kind of stunned. Eurgh.

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 16:19

smoothie - yes we only stumbled across it while trying to find anywhere to eat in the torrential rain. If I'd known the prices I would have found somewhere else.

JoylessFucker · 01/11/2012 16:22

I was going to admit to having wee'd on the policeman's willy once (his request, outdoor in the garden) but thought that might be too much. Thanks EelPie for saving me with the dog story Grin

There was no repeat of that one either - afterwards he said 'I forgot that you wee like a horse' Blush

JoylessFucker · 01/11/2012 16:27

Ooooooooooo sponge .... two good first dates. Am still feeling positive for the next step(s).

snapespeare · 01/11/2012 16:28

sponge christ, they're like buses !!

snapespeare · 01/11/2012 16:29

dog?!?!?!?!?

the prof and the foot>foof now seems a bit tame...

EiePie · 01/11/2012 16:30

Lol! The hinted suggestion got him a slap round the chops followed by my speedy exit! Bloody huge dog too - with big claws and everything!!

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 16:34

Lol at like buses!.

I feel all sad and deflated. I have no idea why. In the space of less than 24 hours I have had 2 good dates, and done a lot of kissing. There clearly is no pleasing me Hmm

snapespeare · 01/11/2012 16:40

pie not that you would be less displeased if he had a chihuahua. Hmm 9grin]

oh NO SPONGE! do not feel sad and deflated! it's because you're in this post-good-date-self-torment of wondering if they liked you as much as you liked them and waiting for the other shoe to drop. isn't it?

take your mind off of it. put your phone on top of a kitchen cupboard or wardrobe and read a book or watch a zombie-film or make a cake or do something to distract yourself!

I'm going for birthday drinks with my lovely friend I have known since i was two. everyone else is going on for a curry...i can't afford it, so i'll be home early. had to cancel a bunch of my direct debits today in case i don't win my work-grievance about rent... so i am being very careful. Sad but i am wearing my shortest skirt and big boots, so watch out world. :)

MadameOvary · 01/11/2012 16:45

Sponge Worry not.
A good snog causes a surge of happy chemicals in the brain. IIRC, there's dopamine, oestrogen and oxytocin. Powerful stuff that leaves you walking on air. They will now have tailed off a bit, leaving you a bit flat by comparison. That's all Smile

JoylessFucker · 01/11/2012 16:58

Have to say that I agree with snape and MadameO on the advice front sponge ...

EiePie · 01/11/2012 16:58

Snape Grin!!

gettingitrightnow · 01/11/2012 17:01

MadamO that is worth remembering...

MadameOvary · 01/11/2012 17:04

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 17:06

Apologies for double post...stupid phone!

OhWesternWind · 01/11/2012 17:15

Just say yes, that would be lovely.

MadameOvary · 01/11/2012 17:17

Take a deeeeep breath sponge. If I were you I'd dine out on that for several days a little while at least. Grin

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 17:17

you could ask if his sausage wants to see the roll :) But probably not. no.

MadameOvary · 01/11/2012 17:20

Text what you would like to hear if you'd sent that text.
"I'd love to :-)"
Be yourself. he doesn't sound like a player so you don't have to worry about being "cool"

gettingitrightnow · 01/11/2012 17:23

Love that link MadamO !!!

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 17:27

He is lovely. I've reread his text and what he actually said was will he see me again soon...

The policeman meanwhile text me and said he will 'be in touch for round 2'

Only one of these texts made me Grin
